Hes riding out in the ocean a bit which is good. I'm avoiding the worst part of the eyewall.

In a brick house on a main power grid so I still have power.

Her moms fence is trashed. If that's the worst, I'm suoer happy.
 
Daytona Beach and Jax are gonna get crunched I believe though. Looks like that heavy hard NE quadrant of eyewall is going to spin on them.

I hope not.
 
Yeah. That river near Jax, St. John's or whatever ... doesn't do well with surge, and it was predicted at 11' ... even if it's only 5', it'll be twice the amount that gives it to them good ...
 
And Georgia is a whole 'nother story ... they don't do good with flooding up there ...
 
Next person to worry about is Oldsalty ...

The Cat # matters greatly in terms of loss of life, but even tropical storms and no-name storms can be devastating in term of flooding ...

Yes the flooding was the cause of most of the damage. The winds did some damage but it was the water that crushed us.

I meant in the context of people saying, you are safe, it is cat # now... as it lowers.
 
PS. Been evacuated in FL.
 
Seen Homestead after, driving to the Keys. It was heartbreaking. Totally flattened landscape with debris.
 
I was over in Cape Canaveral in the evacuation one, over the causeway from you. (oops from sirex I meant)

The eye made landfall directly over oldsalty, I plugged his zip into weather.com. Hope for the best for OS!

What makes you think he evacuated? I know last time he had flooding, he tied his boston whaler to his porch and rode it out. Just curious, did he say he was getting out?
 
He took his pets and left, and even helped a friend board his house on the way out.

Cuz you know, that's the oldsalty way!

So grabbing the dogs and looking for a safe haven.  Have fun everyone will be off for the rest of the day. Have friends need help boarding up there home's. So Salty's on the job :)   Will be looking forward to everyone's entry so getter done y'all.  And to all my friends up and down the coast be safe. Talk to ya on sunday if my home doesnt head to Sea.
