Joyner's Hot Pepper Powders 2014 GLOG

As of now here is the somewhat final list for the 2014 growing season...the 7 pot red has a question mark because I am waiting to see if I can use a 1/2 acre in Va of my uncles and isolate. It is very hard to leave over 100 different varieties in the seed bin and not grow them all out!

Best of luck to everyone and I plan to get seeds started in the next few days.

Holy placenta those are beautiful! Sweet and crazy looking pods Chris. The couple of BBG7 I grew this year from CCN have the right pheno but pods have all been very small. Nasty heat but small throughout the entire season. Might overwinter 1 to see if there's a change or might just start fresh from seed
Thanks, yeah these are actually big and perfectly shaped pods. If they were the right pheno they would be A+. They are hot as can be as well. :)

Whats a good wood to smoke some peppers with
I prefer fruit woods in most cases. Can't really go wrong with those.

How are things coming along? Any details to share on the limited run batch of powder you talked about or still too early? Must admit you've got my curiosity piqued and I've also been missing your awesome pod porn pics lol. I needs my fix man! Going to have to be something good to beat those beautiful BBG7 with those cool damn veins

Thanks for dropping by, was out in the woods preparing for opening bow season so have been away. Those pods took forever to dry and I fried a dehydrator in the process :) Long story short they are dry today and I plan to sample the powder. It may be a bust...not 100% sure. Regardless, I'll be doing a giveaway soon and the winner will get some.

I agree....more pod porn is needed! I have a ton to pick it seems...

Those are the sickest trays of split red pods I have ever seen

I think I see heat waves shimmering above the trays   :mouthonfire:

Wanted to say thanks for sending the samples of the Thai Powders to the NWCF.
They are awesome.  Everyone back home who tried them raved about them!

Great looking pics Chris.  Looks like you're still going strong up there!
Not too shabby I must say. Few thousand pods still out there on the plants, about 30% of them ripe.

That one burgundy pod is my Mystery wine...ENJOY IT! save seeds if you want and give it a grow. Not 100% stable but I have been lucky enough the last 4 years. The 2 chocolates are eat at your own risk :)

I will see how my Iowa weather likes your Mystery wine in 2015.Before I play with those pods I plan on enjoying your powders. Thanks again, you are my source for powder blends.

You sir are most welcome, thanks for the business.

Nice Chris!

Glad the weather is holding for you.

I'm jealous, I haven't pulled my bow back since 2009, no place to hunt. I can with a rifle, but it's not the same.

I see you're into ground level hunting, it's so much more challenging!

I did both, getting up high and the ground. The most fun was the ground stands on an Oats patch. I have an old Mathews Legacy (well now it's old) 315 through the crony @ 67lb. It ended the jumping string I experienced with the round wheel bows that were all there was in the 80's...

So what do you shoot?
