Justaguy's 2012 Garden Season

Coming from 2011
http://www.thehotpep...n/page__st__440

About a month earlier then last year and this year I have a place in case I need to pot up.

First I got the germ bed set up and temps stabilized. Left to right go 82° - 87° - 83°

Next I took my old light racks

100_1493.jpg

Slid one over and added a double

100_1494.jpg

Then added a new bulb that hits 6500K to each side to go with the ones from last year

100_1496.jpg

I have to get the bottom shelf done and then i will put up pics to show how the 2 lights differ and IMO will be good.

This year I will have less total plants, but more varieties. Lord please save me from this addiction.

Initially I plan on 123 in ground and 25 in containers(some to be given away)

25 varieties, 27 strains total. Basically 3 strains of T.S., so 25 varieties.

-Naga Morich/Red 7Pot Cross
-Yellow 7Pot
-Naga Jolokia
-Douglah
-Chocolate Habanero
-Thai Variegated
-Pequin Chiapas
-Brain Strain
-Thai Fire
-Indonesian Chile
-Mystery Seeds from Patrick
-Manzano
-Yellow Scorpion
-Fatalii(true)
-Caribbean Red Habanero
-Jimmy Nardello(sweet)
-Bhut Jolokia(Starting for Melium not for my garden)
-Cumari Do Para
-Naga Morich
-Possible Cross # 3
-Red Savina/Fatalii Cross
-Cumari Ou Passarinho
-Trinidad Scorpion "Butch T" from Alphaeon
-Trinidad Scorpion Mouroga from Pepp3rfreak
-Trinidad Scorpion from pods bought from A.J.
-Tepin
-Black Thai

At a later time I will try to update this list with who they came from if not from my seed stock, the number I plan on planting, and the number I put in to germinate. To be safe I am planning on dropping double in for germination so I will most likely be sending out sprouts again this year.

You have a nice grow going, Brian. Sorry I didn't find your glog sooner.
There are some nice supers coloring up there; good luck getting in a big
harvest and getting everything ready for Fall.

Good weekend to you

I was at the neighbors yesterday and he pulled this off one of his parsley plants. He told me it is a Monarch catepillar. I just like the color so he went into my Caribbean Red Habaneros. They are plush enough to be his home. Plus the praying mantis may enjoy playing with him.

Nice Brian. Good idea for carrying a personal stash. Put a couple of them in the glove box. Do you have a hard time doing the jalapeno powder? I may have to buzz this coiffed doo for smoking purposes next year. Takes about 4 washings to gey the smoke smell out of my hair. You and Shane got the Angelo Watermelo going on.

I don't mind the smell of the smoker, but then again once it is going I tend to go do other things. I halved the Biker Billies then smoked them. Then they went in the dehydrator until nice and dry. At 105° it can take awhile.

Love the test tube powder Brian. Might have to get some of those. Now we just need to get you a respirator and all will be well. ;)

Can't wait to see some harvest shots this up coming weekend.

Vee don't neeeed no steeeenkin vespiratuuuuuur!!!!!!

Just pulled 3 pounds of Fatalii's(all ripe ones) this morning since they are calling for rain tomorrow. Still going to harvest in the morning before rain(hopefully). Didn't take a pic before getting them packed, but there are still a lot of green and half ripes out front and another Fatalii plant loaded with ripe out back.

I ditto the comments on the powder tubes. That is one great idea. I cant wait to make my first batch of powder. Hopefully I will get a dehydrator for my bday

Great idea......... ............no test tubes there.............those powders are the real thing!
We're got November weather early here. When the fog clears I'll be stripping some pods............for sure

Ok time to go get the fire going and beer drained. Thanks for looking.

The 200'[sup]2[/sup] out back got a foot or two taken off a day or two before the harvest. Took branches down to the first node with a big pods on it. Boy the color started flowing in then.

So after prepping for tonight's possible and likely frost I decided to get some pics of what is so beautiful today and may not be tomorrow.

Tonight I will be getting a pic of the covered garden with the lights(for heat) on. 15 minutes after covering it it was about 80° in there and it is 56° outside. Stay tuned......

Last night.

Still waiting to open it up. Reached in under and it is summer time sauna in there. Going to go open it here soon and see how they did. The rest of the gardens are wilted. The Scorps and part of the Fatalii's got misted with the hose before the sun hit their frosty butts. I was told by an oldtimer it can save them. The unsprayed are DEAD the ones tat got misted with water are wilty, but look like they may make a come back.

Edit to add these other shots
