food Leftovers Thread!!

Had to help Danielle out of one of her leftover brat's, and a nice healthy serving of caramelized onions and peppers (with JHP Cayenne Indonesian) ...

Delicious over the sink ...

Danielle is so twisted about caramelized onions - she sits there at the le creuset for over an hour gently stirring them like they are gold ...

I guess, though, when you only use mustard as a condiment, that you need to develop the shit out of the topping flavors ... and so ...

But yeah, tasty! ... and right over the sink ...

Well my onions for the venison last night were on grill for 45 mins with same treatment :)

Yeah, but thankfully you didn't ask me to rub your neck/shoulder for holding your arm out like an agitator machine for an hour ...

I mean, occasional stirring, fine ... you know ... she literally stands there, shifting her weight back and forth between her legs/knees, slowly constantly stirring them the whole time ...

I sit there and ask myself why we have *ENAMELED* cast-iron the whole time ...

I think I might buy her some of those orange mats like we used in the restaurant ...

I make quesadillas all the time.  Usually at least once a week.  I also use Cauterizer all the time, it sits right beside me on the table here at my computer.  I have, however, never put avocado on my quesadilla.  I will give this a try.

I finally could eat my calf stew... More or less, i added too much onion, carrots garlic and celery so i added tomato too, also cilantro, cumin... Lots of paprika, a bit of choco bhut... Cooked with broth. Sort of gulash...

Added tortilla and pepper mix powder. Eaten in pot. Cleaned with bread.

Heated up the left over Carnitas from the other day and first time Making Cilantro lime rice. Turned out Bomb diggity.

For the Rice I used Jasmine as that's what I had in the pantry. Cooked per directions.

Zested and juiced two limes, half a cup cilantro and some seasalt

Once the rice had about 5 min left I added the lime juice to be absorbed. Once finished stirred in cilantro , zest and salt.

Served with meat ontop

That looks mighty tasty! ...

I just had some leftover pork myself ... on crackers, though ...

Some of the pork bits where a little over heated and crunchy but the rice turned out really good. Wifey had hers as a bowl with cheese sour cream and that junk on it. That Jak frost goes really good on it. I like that stuff a lot. I might have to pick up a few more of their products when I can afford to.

Looks good. Thumbs up on the rice, my wife does something very similar and it is good.

Had some leftover smoked turkey from: http://thehotpepper.com/index.php?/topic/51319-%3D%5B-grill-grantmichaels%2C-grill-%5D%3D/page__view__findpost__p__1126860

I like gruyere (or just swiss) w/ turkey, well, and Duke's ...

The fennel pollen is hipster-as-fuck, but it's damn tasty - better yet, w/ poultry, than w/ beef.

Cooked it on the plate w/ the Searzall ... just for THP ...
