Ill do a little review of my days tastings tomorrow, so many sauces to get through so many pods, thanks for the awesome day fellas, we gotta do something like this again!
 
it was about 40 C most of the afternoon too. great weather for trying 20-something hot sauces & a pile of super-hot pods :hell:

We will definitely be doing this again.
 
What a day, I'm paying for it today.... I tell you Billyboy toutured me with frsh superhots all afternoon.... but its not just the heat the flavour of some of these was amazing.
I got a present for you billyboy short run "OL' Man Stillmanz BHUT JOLOKIA Fire" I know you like the fire so I'll do a batch exactly the same just with Bhut? Hows that grab you?
 
I was paying for it most of the night - Man we had some good food & an amazing array of flavors. It's a shame the taste-buds blew out so early, It was weird eating Snakebite PR & not tasting any heat lol. Could still get a kick from the 10 though. Defcon 1 just tickled a little, but it couldn't be a true indication.

we'll have to pace ourselves a little better next time.

Your right we burnt out taste buds out, fresh pods cut it and most of the naga stuff but it was amazing how my taste buds just could not pic up hab burn what so ever. I gotthe flavour just not heat sensation. To much hotstuff up front lol
 
Thats when I new I had gone too far but thought I'd go the full hunter Thompson and write myself right off, hence the drooling and crying and foul language, the fresh pods is what destroyed me.... and the BB naga concentrate lol.

yep, no Bhuts were tasted, but they are in the pipeline. Interesting how the Scorpions will fare, as Potawie mentioned that most of the tastings of the Scorpion seemed hotter than the Nagas.
 
That concentrate is heavy stuff....., I just remember we were having troubles detecting any heat from most of the sauces and I even recall Bent saying something along the lines of the sauce from the Chilli Factory Turbo Hab Paste will measure up to the concentrate, the fact is, the concentrate blew us to pieces, it was just thumping on my tongue for a long time, and this was during that period where we just were not feeling any heat, it was crazy!
 
Just cooked some proper defcon 2 wings in the shop fryer (which taste great good level of heat great product). god this whole bufalo wing thing is great.
I'm thinkin bout entering the market just for OZ
think Asian meets Trinidad
next time your in the shop lads give me heads up and I'll sort you out with some.

So today I stick my hand in the air & fess up.

Last night I put 1/2 a tsp of pain2 on a ham & tom sandwich, spread so fine it could barely be seen.... & it damn near did me in lol.
All of that taste testing when I made it must have dulled my senses..I was honestly used to it.

You're right BB - i screwed the bbq for sauce tasting by char-grilling everyone's tongue...

...I still tasted your concentrate though...& the fresh pods were a league of their own.

Personally, I blame the lo-carb beer :lol:

I got a mate with a good size boat...who's in for the next cookup while out in the bay fishing?
 
Thanks again stillmanz for the fantastic day, Im unable to do an accurate and honest review of any of the sauces & treats on offer, as previously mentioned my heat detecting abilities were almost non existent!

This boat bbq day you speak of bent sounds interesting:P
 
Next time maybe we should bring the Listerine as I read somewhere that shayneyasinski uses it for in between tastings

I also find that to get the full effect of any sauce you must use listerine mouthwash befor eating it..
