I am planting via 2 methods, coffee filter and direct sow. I want to eventually plant out 1 of each variety so I sowed 3 seeds. I soaked my seeds last night in water and planted 1 in a tray of Hoffman’s Seed Starter (thanks Ronnie),
fe6e7491.jpg

and the other two I stuck in coffee filters and plastic bags. So EVERYONE is aware, this method is not a quick one. Consider yourself warned.

When I finished planting/bagging everything, I stuck it in my tent which maintains about 81-84 and we shall keep our fingers crossed.

Now it is time to PWN some 12 year olds in MW3. Peace!

Matt, your pot plants look nitrogen deficient. All that yellow. With the rain it's possible the nutes have been washed out. My container plants are pretty low maintenance and I keep them partially shaded and under a tree canopy which they seem to like. You should try moving them for a bit. Hit them with some N, let them dry up. I think they will hold the nutes better when waterlogged like that.

Nice looking in ground grow man. Amazing poddage! Keep it up!

I have been kind of busy, and haven't been keeping up as much as I would like to with everything. but I have been checking in with your Glog as much as I can... and I've just gotta tell you that your plants have taken off! and blew past mine, mine are just really starting to take off, got my first red 7.... oh and also I have some 7 pots that have that purple streak like yours.. but anyways..

you are the man! I love your reviews and that brain strain looks awesome. Congratulations and keep it coming! I will be checking in when I can.

Nice review! And congrats on your first super review from your own pepper patch! That had to feel good, I mean after it hurt it had to feel good. You handled it very well, I must say. Great job!

I am thinkin the same thing Seth. I am gonna feed them this weekend if the weather holds up. I wanna give em a good tea drink and then some fish food. I may actually mix in some Fish Ferts to my tea mix, but I gonna run it through Rich first... I was concerned up front, but I have enough in ground plants doing well to help me forget the carnage from the containers. Thanks for stoppin in, and thanks for the input!

Thanks Andy, it was awesome to eat something like this off my plants. I am excited to try more!

Just got caught up on your glog, and I have to say I always enjoy your video reviews! Unlike most of them, where it's 10 minutes of listening to cursing, and watching grown men cry like babies, hahaha! You are one of the few that can talk through the pain, and describe both the type of pain, as well as the flavor of the pepper. You have helped me to figure out which ones I am willing to try, and those that I'm just going to pass on. So thanks for the updates!

I have been using the tomato tone in my containers and it seems to be doing really well. There is a lot of slow release goodness in there, it's organic, and cheap. Win win. :P

Thanks for the kind words Bonnie! I try my best, sometimes failing, to give yall a review of the pepper and it's burn. I wanna help you choose what to grow in your garden, and that is another reason I usually only do half a pod. If I ate a whole one, there would be absolutely no way in hell I could talk....let alone compose a full thought. I am glad that you enjoy them and thanks for watching!

I'm finally caught up and I must say I'm applauding my friend. Great looking pod pornage!

Thanks Dan! Your grow is exploding as well!

Well that settles it! I have a bag of TT in the garage, and it shall go down this weekend! Do a little tea foliar feed, and TT, and I should be good! Thanks Seth!

Well Friday is probably the night I will miss more than any other when I am gone. Friday is my night to throw down in the kitchen, throw back a few brews, and really enjoy the fact that I made it through another week without brining an uzi to work :) Tonight I am really indulging, steaks as big as my head, stuffed jals and habs, roasted potatoes, asparagus, and bacon wrapped shrimp. Oh, and my fav...Breckenridge Brewing's Avalanche  So this is gonna be a night of updates and fun. Ill throw a few pepper shots in there, and if I have enough brews, maybe throw down a video review. Anyways...

And yes, that is a 9x13...

what do you think the cause is for the yellow spots on the Jalapenos?

Great job on the video by the way :) Yellow Brain strain is the only pepper that ever made my urine burn.

Not in a way that made me want to die, more of a mild what the heck is that kind of burn.

Also that food looks amazing...

The chili gods are tight with you my friend :hell:

Great review of that yellow brain. A great yellow 7

Oh and passs a piece of that fat steak please :P

Thanks for stoppin in! I am really not sure what is up with the green spots on the jal. I just discarded that half and went on with the meal. I didn't see any others with it, so I am not too worried. I enjoyed the yellow brain. I like the yellows a lot, and this one was no different.

Whats up bud! I gotta say, those choco habs were AMAZING tonight! It was weird, I thought that they might be bhuts because of the shape, but the heat level is on par with the habs. I stuffed em and baconed them, and man they were freakin amazing! It has the perfect amount of heat for me, and the cheese and bacon cooled it off before it built too much. Great pepper you got there!

MATTTTTTTTTTTT.. STOP ITTTT.. IM GOING TO BE 550 THOUSAND POUNDS TRYING TO RECREATE YOUR PICS... AHAHAA GREAT VID AND GREAT PICS. KEEP IT UP.. WHAT HAPPENED TOO YOUR BOOTY WHOLE AFTER YOU ATE THAT BRAIN?? NOT TO MENTION (PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE FIRST) YOUR STOMACH?

I have a great weightloss plan, it is called Afghanistan.... I always try to work out and eat right when I am in the states, but it never works (as you can see from lost night...) It is much easier when I am deployed. It is amazing how much I can change when I am gone, if only I can stay in shape when I am home..

And my stomach wasn't effected by this one at all. I ate a spoonful of PB, and that may have done it. Coming out, now that is a different story :hot:

Wow, that food looked amazing! I'm not a steak eater, but just the poppers, bacon wrapped shrimp, roasted potatoes, and grilled asparagus would have filled me up! I haven't had breakfast yet, and I can almost smell the yumilicious pork fat cooking. Oh wait, my husband's cookin' some bacon, and biscuits with sausage gravy right now. I love Saturday mornings!!!

They were pretty amazing. I thought for a minute that Jamie's Habs were actually Bhuts, but when I bit into them I realized that they weren't....that would have made for a pretty :hot: popper!

The wife is out for a bit, and when she gets back I am gonna get into the garden for a while. Should have some pics a little bit later. It looks like pods are ripening left and right!

Thought I replied here a few days ago...guess it got lost in the NMCI black hole! Great review of the Yellow Brain my man! I too prefer the yellows. They're a bit sweeter and less overpowering with the chinense flavor. Poppers look wonderful too. Few weeks left huh...sucks. Maybe you can at least stay plugged in wherever you go.

Brain Strain Yellow
fb7a1583.jpg

7 Pot Yellow, as an aside I would probably grow these over the BS Yellow if I only had one spot. It just has way more pods, some even have the Brain Strain look. Leads me to question where the Brain Strain Yellow actually came from...
4c455179.jpg

And one more for ya....A Brain Strain Red I got from Chris. This is super cool, because this plant all has tails and are elongated. I already sent him back a pod (since he sent me free seeds) and hope to continue to get the "tail" trait in future seasons. Another plant out of the same seeds is growing actual Cappy-style brain strains. This one, not so much :)
