Poll would be cool but then we might have to start a new thread to get it in. I dunno, I'd like to do it all in this thread but...

Other 'thang is, I usually don't do my best cookin' till after 9pm on Friday and Saturday night and usually after accidently spilling alcohol beverages all over my mouth. I might be tardy in posting pics until the next day.

We could just go at it all Friday AND Saturday to accommodate everyone and then create a new thread just for polling purposes.

AJ, anyone...what say ya'll?

No no no you are a late comer to this thread, but you are a promising young star. You must have an entry. Make your poppers tomorrow if you must and post them Friday before you leave.

Sorry didn't realize there were so many posting at one time that was directed to FiveStar.

As for the Popperama I am fine with leaving it open all weekend for that matter. It will be popper heaven!

Aye! I say a 2 day popper throwdown festival is in order!! This shall also give me time to procure superior chiles at the Mexican Farmers market!

And I'd LOVE to do a popper throwdown!!! That would be so much fun. Unfortunately, I won't be able to participate on Friday or Saturday:(. My baby brother's having his birthday party, on Friday night, & a co-worker is having her bday party on Saturday night. Another fun idea would be to do a drunken invention throwdown, lol.

Right now I'm throwing back a couple beers...but I doubt I'll do much cooking tonight. That may change...

And, to get the thread back on poppers, I'm finishing up the hab poppers I made :). They go great w/ pale ale.

Yeah! Seems like everyone's psyched about this idea. Even if I don't participate in the contest I'm still going to have to make poppers to keep myself satisfied after seeing all the yummy pics!

Yes you did post that girl! I think the Popper Smackdown won't be a contest per se but more of a Popper Smackdown Party and everybody wins. HAH! No excuse's for not gettin' down with the sickness...besides...there will be no shortage of tequila on my end here..

I won't give away my battle plan, but suffice it to say it involves Rocoto Manzanos. There may be cheese and bacon involved as well.

Edit: And I believe TB has made an excellent point. Tequila as a theme ingredient/performance enhancer? I can vow to imbibe!
 
Hmmm..judging poppers would be unfair without considering the drunk factor. Being lit would only get a few points. Posting pics of poppers while in the back seat of a police car would get VERY high marks!
