food My Badass Burrito!

beer2beer said:
Yesterday, after reading all the pages of this AWESOME thread (more than once), I finally decided to make my 1st burrito. I love mexican food but so far I had only eaten in restaurants and with just a few filling options.

Well, despite my lack of experience, I think I got it! I mean, IMO (I'm suspicious to say) they were DELICIOUS! My family and friends (if they didn't lie) liked it a lot. I made a mix of black beans + onion + ground meat + chive + tomato + Dedo de Moça pepper (fresh) and also some separetely Guacamole (I love Guacamole). The tortillas I got was small but no problem at all, cuz I made A LOT of burritos and not a single one survived. They're gone!

I'm very happy with the results and for now on, homemade burritos are part of my weekly menu.

I was "a bit" drunk. The results: just a few pics and a finger cut.

A hug!

Sorry about the finger.

But you did good.

REAL GOOD!!!

You are on your way to becoming a burrito kung fu master.

Have mercy!

texas blues, I blame you for my new addiction!

Couldn't wait till weekend, so two nights ago I got to the kitchen again and made more mini-burritos. Unfortunately I'm not able to try a "Badass" cuz the only available tortillas I can get in the city I live (and hate) is small size. But I'm already trying to get bigger ones. Not to mention that some day (probably centuries from now) I'll be confortably enough to make my own ones.

Ok, this time, despite the alcohol, I took more pics:

Dunno about you guys, but I really love the Morris Albert's song...

Yeah, I know... "where the hell are the burritos pics???". As I said before, I couldn't get the REAL tortillas, only mini-mini ones, so the best pic to refer to my burritos is this one:

So there's the result:

*** With all respect to Morris Albert's "Feelings" song (that I really like):

A hug!

B2B that looks pretty dang badass to me!

You definitely put some time and love into that.

Never seen guac done like that but I'd hit it like a pinata.

And I totally understand the addiction.

Its powerful stuff.

Those look bangin'!

And no daggum rice inside, double win!

I have to agree w/ those noting it's fajitas ... which is great, because I want fajitas over burritos EVERY DAY ... you don't even have to ask ... fajita me ...

Yes fajitas!!! when more fajitas to me!

Here called burritos (or taco if corn tortilla),  but what is the difference?

(Doesn't always have rice. Pay attention to the rolling only.)

That's why yours is a fajita. Not rolled and tucked.

Plus you made pretty much a classic fajita. Strips of beef, peppers, onions... on flour tortillas.

Woot!

Don't let your friend tell you that is a burrito!!!

But it is welcome here in the burrito thread. This time. :D
