My carnivorous plants [Pictures heavy]

Boostdemon do you have a picture?

What is the growing conditions ? I mean temps, RH%, Soil mix, watering routine n type of water, etc.

No heliamphora?? pffff :-)

Hah I know right Maiden, I've been debating on getting one but I don't want to have to build something to keep the RH% up right now. I will probably pretty soon though knowing me lol I can't control myself

Wow Maiden and Jb your carnivorous are incredible. Congratz

I like Nepenthes and Dionaea more than the others but I never been good with those. My Nepenthe is getting better but still far from what you've shown on that those few pages.

Keep on the good work I'm impressed.

Nice thank you Maiden. Would I be able to do the same by drying worms I find in my garden ? But at the moment that would not be of any help since my Nepenthe don't even have pitchers.

I received the plant in august I think and it was very long and looked traumatised by the transfer. Couples days ago I saw it was growing from the base so I cutted the main branch and did a couple of cuttings (yesterday).

Yes any insects are good.
Its a very nice plant you got there:)

For the t12, i dont know, probably. Have a try ! :-) I grow all my plants (pepper included) under T5 tubes.

Ok, well I was just not sure if direct light was good for Nepenthe. I guess I just have to make sure to keep a good moisture level. I can't wait to have pitchers on it, it will help to control bugs population on my peppers and other plants.

Thanks for taking time to answer, in my opinion the plant as it is on my picture is far from nice. But with some cares I might get to something nice... I wish.

No problemo :)

Most of neps needs indirect sun, full sun is too strong. So its really a try n learn thing. Look for 'sunburns' on the leaves.

You will see, when they are happy, these lil guys become unkillable beasts !

Its probably between 65-70F right now in the winter by the door. I splash a little watter on them a couple times a week and mist the whole setup usually every day in the evening. It doesnt totally dry out but its never soggy. Tap water, luke warm. The lights are T8's... one bulb is a 5000k one is a 6500k i think. The lights are on about 15hrs a day.

Nice setup :)

Your plants look very healthy !
Try to avoid misting the leaves of your sundew, this will help :)

Good job !

Oooo nice collection. A buddy of mine in Washington is big into carnivorous plants as well. Darren meyers his name not sure if he's on any forums or not. I just see he posts all his bog plants on FB all the time.
