Methinks that must have been center cut. I was going to cook one too, but between work, family obligations, and lack of sleep it just didn't happen. Maybe for NYE...

It was actually the outside cut, the bottom of that piece that the crust which I love! The entire rost end to end was like that. 
 
Unless you mean it was the center cut from the cow?
