My obsession with heat and food...JoynersHotPeppers

I have been a long time lurker and finally joined. I figured I'd start posting some of the things I cook or make with the peppers I grow.

First up

This is a Thai Cucumber salad I make with a rare Japanese cucumber I grow, peppers and cilantro are mine as well. I'll take better pictures with the next batch. I have enough stuff right now to do about 10 more 32oz jars.

That is an exceptionally clean smoker you have there Chris for as much as you use it.  Gimme some of those tacos when they are ready.

Nice!
I musta been hammered senseless. I don't remember eating ribs today.
Nice work on the WSM.
Mine will be burning all weekend as long as weather permits and the beers stay plentiful.
The outlook appears good for both.

Dang Chris.

Your leftovers look better than most folks' first overs.

That powder is just the right amount to make it pop in the pic.

20 photographers could tell you how they could have done it better though I bet.

Mucho gusto Chris.

I had talked mrs. blues into letting me smoke some country style pork ribs but got rained out today.

Thats ok as we need the rain bad.

Ended up crock potting and still waiting.

Queso'd tate's in the oven now and just mando'd the red cabbage slaw.

Time it gets done, pics most likely in DC.

That yard bird looks to have some mojo goin' on.

Sorry in advance, picked up something new at our Costco, beef loin flap steak. It is about 2 inches wide in 8 to 10 inch strips. I just made up some chimichurri and have the meat marinating before it hits the grill. in addition, made a huge batch of salsa. The plan is to have chimichurri steak tacos with fresh salsa and avocado. I think I'll be breaking out the real camera for this, iPhone will not suffice! Stay tuned...

So the beef loin flap steaks are more like 3 to 4 inches wide, here they are before heading to the grill.
Chris how do you make your chimichurri ? Thanks !

PS I'm going to give this a try on Thursday. I'm off that day and making a Costco run.
