I had a call from her youngest daughter just a few minutes ago. Elaine was a year younger than me and too young to die from diabetes. She has been on dialysis 3 times a week and recently went to the nursing home to recover from a bout of infection. I sure will miss her crazy sense of humor and the joy she had for life. It just hit me like a shock, doesn't seem possible. I will always remember our crazy times. Think it's way past time they find a cure for diabetes.

my commiserations too.i've lost three friends over the years, one just last august, so i know just how you feel.all passed before their time-it's just so sad.
