It took my galapagoense between 1 and 5months 1530s about 1month and a half I think will have to check for sure but patience is key the wait is the worst. I dont know if this is scientific at all but I have found wilds germinate in groups or couples . Like my galapagoense always sprouted in 2s to 5 sprouts.

I like what I see plenty of healthy plants, AND you have a greenhouse. Can't beat that!

What do you do as it warms up, grow in pots or dirt?

Do you use a sunshade? They work wonders when it get above the 90's.

Good luck this season!
Thank you and I use a sunshade because spring and sun intensity is insane here

Rob, You have one of the most interesting grow lists in the West!

Good luck with all these difficult varieties - you are setting the bar
for the rest of us!

Nice! Good work on the flexuosum.

I'm about to sow 3 more types of Eximium, and a few more Praetermissum.

How are your galaps doing btw?

-Walt
just posted a pic of the indoor one but the outdoor ones are way slow no idea why I suspect the shorter sun times but im not complaining I have my tomatoes, mature peppers, and melons flowering in winter so im happy.

Thanks paul I will be adding a couple more varieties very soon. You guys still impress me way more than I can impress you guys

finally have a cap 1144 sprout took a looooonnnggggg time but im so happy it sprouted definitely going to baby that plant

Dude you make me feel jelly! How much time did it took?

I been asking a few experienced growers who have grown it and for the most part they say it's best to not cook the seed. That they germinate faster in 70º temps. They guys who gave me that advice say it should germinate in about 2-4 weeks. I'm about to try that. First I need to acomodate the new ones popping. Hope it grows well for you.

-Walt

Must have taken about 5months and 4 different germination techniques easily the hardest variety I have ever germinated. Good luck with yours. I will post pictures once leaves show

Nice job on the flexy!! Hope it sets fruit ok, I've talked to experienced growers about this one and they do say that a second plant help set more fruit and bigger with more seeds. One is fine but won't do as good as having 2. Hope it does well for you and all of your plants are looking good.

-Walt

thanks walt im working on trying to get a second plant going but if it doesn't work out this season I will try next. I just moved the cumari pollux outside because it is over 6 inches I believe. I cant wait to put that in a huge pot or in ground because I have a feeling it will explode then. I will be potting it up today to a 1 gal or larger. I cant wait for its cousin the little cap 1144 to get bigger hes working on it so im happy about that. a lot of the stuff I was worried was stalling out is now exploding with growth like the galapagoense and cap 1530.

just released the soldiers today as I have declared war on every bad insect in my greenhouse. there are around 2000 I would guess which isn't a bad thing. also gave my plants there first feeding of fertilizer.

this was my choice of fertilizer because its organic, has tons of different beneficial bacteria and fungi, also doesn't burn your plants.
