Nate looking good. Way better than my set up. I think the spindly stems r from not enough light after germination. Normally u USA guys put the seedling under lights or keep them inside ( esp. when its cold ) . But with me i after they're up i pot them the same day and get them out side to avoid this . But now its kinda windy here so i dont know if its advisable.

High winds? Are you not worried about your plants falling into the water?

I was at first but what you can't tell from pics is that the patio slants away from the water and directs the water into the neighbors yard:) The medium mix i made is on the heavy side i believe. Even with my taller plants the wind doesn't knock them over the plastic bag seem very sturdy. Maybe when the plants get a little bigger will move a little bit away from the edge but for now they should be fine getting a little extra light from the water reflection would be nice.

Tnx ,IT sure is nOVa
Here is a nice size flower on my Black Hungarian
I am not pinching buds on this one just want to get my first black chile!

good call marcio yeah everything is healthy looking. But the pods are very yellowish I have been waiting for these finally. now if my bhut will just set some fruit i will be very happy!

I think you are right chili, I made the mistake of not recording the source of my seeds, and the pm's are deleted. I still yet to have any brazillian starfish you gave me to sprout yet that i know of at least, i have 2 mystery plants. do you have any pics of you plant? how big were your pods?

They were about 3/4 in by almost 2 inches wide.

Very friggin pumped right now Finally i have a couple 7pod pods there is only one thing worrying me is that the pods are very yellow i figured they would start green anyways if anyone has any info on this let me know if this is normal. sorry blurry still saving for a good camera.

Nate,I'm thinking it's the low level of light we have currently. The winter solstice is Dec. 21,the shortest day of the year. Some of my younger plants also have pods like this.I'm just hoping to carry them over to warmer weather, not really hoping for pods, but you may have a chance at winter pods due to your latitude and the thermal action of the water.
Keep up the good work!

I thought you were talkig about the starfish since that was the last one you mentioned before asking about pics. I didn't grow that plant just had seeds for it.:)

its been about 7 days now since my last germination attempt.
and we have a few winners already hell yeah.
First To Pop up was the dagger pod
IMG00583.jpg

Second to pop was the Yellow 7pod yes!!
IMG00584.jpg

third was Maui Purple excited on this any info from growing/eating experience would be cool.
IMG00585.jpg

and the fourth to pop is the Alma Paprika, alittle concerned the tips of the cotyledon leaves are very pale and seem sickly already and just sprouted maybe this is normal for this variety i have never germed a paprika variety before.
IMG00587.jpg

All of these are now outside hardening off!!

Looks like it might be sick. Good thing you put it outside though. (lucky vasturd)
I've never grown that kind before either, but sounds mighty tasty.

Alittle update, I lost my dagger pod due to fumbley hands and maui purple due to not hardneing off long ehough, and a brown 7pod due to seed cap not wanting to come off, enough about loss.
Good news on the 7pod i have many many more pods settling in nicely and the first couple are still getting bigger and greener.
IMG00610.jpg

Can't wait till these ripen up hopefully they won't take too long in this cold weather.

And a couple just getting moved outside
a Cap 159 (Wild species)
IMG00612.jpg

Next a Neon Yellow Habanero
Cool thing about this one is that theyre were three cotyledon's on this seedling looks like a claw.
