Nothing like a little stroke...

I hope you make a speedy recovery, it sucks being ill. At least you know what it is. A friend of mine has been going through something similar with his wife, but the doctors can't figure out what is wrong. It is driving them both crazy. My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend.

DD, sorry to hear about you being under the weather. Hoping for a speedy recovery, being sick is no fun. You have our thoughts and prayers. Get well soon.

Jackie

thats not good.
I hope everything works out for the best for you & good luck to ya for whichever treatment you do & a speedy recovery to the normal you.

Well, might as well have a doctor chime in...

DD, you may have indeed burst a small aneurysm somewhere in your cranial macaroni, esp. given the symptoms that you had that seemed like it was a stroke. If they found more of those aneurysms (usually called "berry" aneurysms), those are ones to keep an eye on (so to speak) to ensure that they don't get bigger over time. There's nothing you can do about those being there, as those are there due to genetics and how you physically developed. Other than controlling your blood pressure and smoking cessation (which helps for those who have vascular disease), you'll have to see what the Neurology folks have to say when you meet with them.

The truth is that most of us probably have one or more of those in our heads somewhere...but it all depends on where they are and how susceptible they are to burst which decides how much of an issue they become.

Keep your chin up, chilehead!! Take care!

Here that, DD? You have to stop smoking...uh oh!

Hmmm....cranial macaroni and berry aneurysms...there might be a hot sauce name in there somewhere.

You hang in there DD our prayers are with ya and all will be fine. Keep twirling that drum stick I do hope you meant one with a lil sauce on it. lol Hey really my family's prayers are there with you and your family!!!!!!

Oh yeah... forgot to post about that...

Anyway, I was a bit apprehensive, but when I found I could play ok... I just put my playing on cruise control. The later in the evening it got, the looser my left hand became and the easier it was to play.

I still had to hold my stick kind of funky, but I just played basic stuff and didn't thrash my head around. By the end of the evening (3+ hours of playing) I was still doing ok.

I get to try again this Friday night.
