Had some extra money and decided to support this site and get a membership. Now its Glog Time. View attachment 9515 This is what I will be growing. I apologize in advance. This is the first time I have done this pictures and posts thing.
Thanks BB81. I have been getting some wind as well the plants are pretty sheltered. We had 40 mph gusts yesterday. Broke a few tomato branches. Suppose to get more today. After Friday we are going to be hitting the 90s for awhile. Congrats on the throw down win.beerbreath81 said:Killer Job on the chicken! Congrats on the first pod . Hope all is well over there
Thanks. I did use the tea as a foilar feed with lite drench. They seem to be doing fine. Lots if challenges this year. With intense dry heat on the way, I need to get some kind of protection over them this weekend or they'll cook. I hope mine come out as half, or heck a quarter as good as yours.maximumcapsicum said:Nice update chuck! I need to get to making some chicken too. Thesis schedule keeps me mostly Ming condiments and omlettes these days.
Plants are looking top notch. You going the tea to the plants in containers?
Thank you Greg. Had some plants that we're not that good looking. I was going to post pics today, but can't pick them out. Everything looks good. I think I'm going with chicken again this weekend. It's cheap and it's good.PIC 1 said:Not a bad plant in the bunch !
you're killing me with those chicken thighs........they look great !
Man that sucks Mikey. But with your skills I know they will jump back. The wind was relentless today. No damage. You can't see the mountains because the air is so thick with dust. Hope weather gets better for my Colorado brothers.jedisushi06 said:Yeah this high wind this year is doing a number on my plants. Not to mention the cold nights still.
Thanks Scott. I haven't seen any others out there. Like I said most the flowers dropped due to weather I suppose. I hope they grow some more and start to flower again. I will be going to flower nutes next month hopefully. At least I have one super pod to watch. I also have a few Jalapeño and cayenne peppers going. The chiltepin is trying as well to develop some pods. I love that plant. I think I might throw her in a 10 gallon fabric pot. She will be a OW for sure.Devv said:Congrats on the scorp pod!
Thanks Mike. Was just looking at the chicken pics myself and getting hungry.capsidadburn said:Very cool! Congratulations on the newborn! Mmmmm Chicken!
Mike
Mine are growing as well. Lost a lot of flowers. Do you think they'll push out some more flowers?jedisushi06 said:yeah this weather is crappy. Iv'e got tons of new growth from where the wind damaged my super hots though.
Thanks Rick for pointing me in the right direction. Will do my home work. I would love to keep this plant going.stickman said:Thanks for the OB report Chuck, I'll bet your stoked! What a drag that you accidentally snapped the Arbol x Pequin cross, but good you managed to keep it alive. Hopefully it'll put out roots soon so you can replant it. You might want to check in with PaulG... he's a past master of cloning his cut tops when he clips them to make them more bushy. Cheers!
Thanks Adam. Never tried cloning in straight water. I have had great success in rockwool and humidity dome. Don't know what to expect.maximumcapsicum said:Nice cutting Chuck! I got about a dozen Roxa clones from the bonchis last year. Have most of em away because I ran out of space. Pretty happy with the technique though. That specimen will have roots in a jiffy.
Thanks Scott for the reassurance. Starting to get some growth from below.Devv said:Congrats on the first super pod of the season Chuck!
Yeah those plants will keep on trying. After all their job is to reproduce
Thanks Mikey. Have been wondering when I should switch from grow to bloom nutes. I will go with my gut instinct when that time comes. Just trying to keep them going through this crazy weather. That is really cool of you to save some seeds for me. Thanks againjedisushi06 said:They will bounce back real soon as long as your feeding them. I'll be saving Thai chile seeds for u off my grow this year

yeah my plants are coming back from wind damage and were small too start there season so i'm feeding them high nitrogen tea with some potassium and phosphorus. But yes some of us grow that other stuff too.Jeff H said:
Just confirming that we are still talking about peppers- with all you Colorado people, you can never be too sure.
Peppers bloom and grow at the same time. I always fed them balanced nutes instead of focusing on one or the other. Worked for me.
The Nutri-Mulch I added to the mix is composted with turkey manure. I have been going easy on the nutes so I don't burn them. I'm glad your plants are recovering. Thanks Mikeyjedisushi06 said:yeah my plants are coming back from wind damage and were small too start there season so i'm feeding them high nitrogen tea with some potassium and phosphorus.
