Do you filter it after or put compost in a bag or anytthing? or just poar on plants
I just dump it all in. No bag. I let it sit for 20 min. Then pour in watering cans. The left over in the bottom I add more water and pour on compost, roses and lilacs.

Your plants are gonna love all that tea!
They seem to be doing better. Thanks Maxcap

I would add the cal mag and fish nutes after the brew is done. They don't need to sit in the brew for two days. Not sure but you always peel tomatoes for canning recipes
You can add more molasses to keep your brew going and alive. I always start a new batch and let my water sit with the air stones for 24 hours or more, I think the tea gets more active when the water is room temp
Thanks for the tip Mikey. The water I used this time is irrigation (run off from they mountains). It does get more active in the heat of the day. How much more molasses do you recommend to keep it going?

Thanks for reading everyone

24hours. Added the extra molasses like jedi suggested right after I took the photo.

2hrs later after adding molasses

Looking like it's brewing nicely!

Is this for a drench or foliar feeding?
I'm thinking this time around is going to be a foliar with a slight drenching. I'll use a watering jug and pour a little heavy over each plant. Going to add some to my chipped wood pile that's composting and see what happens. Need to get some leaves to run thru the chipper and mix with the chips. Finish one truck load of chips. Will post pics later today or tomorrow of progress.

I'm itching to get more mulch, but will wait for August and a healthy knee. Dang I want a chipper badly. I looked into making one, but where in the heck could I find a heavy wheel or drum? Then there's the 3 point tractor type, that would be cool. One less engine to worry about, but they are like $1,500 or more.

Think your neighbor has another one he doesn't want? ;)

This one is working well for what I'm using it for. Chipping wood chips and leaves. I don't think it is that good for what it's intended for. I have been looking on Craigslist for a used 5hp and up chipper. Most of them are in great shape. Probably not used more than once a year on most. I like the older stuff. They don't seem to make stuff industrial grade anymore without an industrial price. My grandpa is 90 and still has tools he made a living with from the 60s. Waiting for the right barn find.

It's been a while, but my experience with the Craigslist searches were high prices. Yeah they were not used much but used is used. Hah! I'm cheap. But I would rather buy a new one then pay a high price for a used one. I did find a simply killer deal on a 14' cattle trailer 3 or 4 years ago. I guess I need to look more often.

One thing I have here is branches for a chipper, but bringing the trailer to work and getting 6 yds of semi composted chips for free is way too easy. But I would like to run them through a second time. And the leaves would be so much better shredded.

I think next years leaves are in the bag (a little pun:), I've been bringing the districts ground keepers toms, squash, and peppers. They're pretty cool, I come to turn in my vehicle and my trucks all loaded up ;)

OK, time to pick

Nice pics of your pepper babies Chuck... good foodie shots too! :drooling:   Do you wrap the chicken pieces up in tortillas or dress them up some other way?
Thanks Rick. I throw it on tortillas with rice and beans. I threw a piece on a tortilla for dinner. No plate shot. Didn't make it that far. Will have plate shot tomorrow for lunch. I like to chop it up and add some cilantro, onions, and avocado for a burrito. No need for hot sauce it taste just fine the way it is.

Looks like you will be loading up real soon.

Chicken looks great too!

Do you have recipe you want to share?

Enjoy the weekend!
Thanks Scott. I don't have a recipe I go off. Most of what I cook I know what the flavor is going to taste like before it's made. Never made this before. Came out perfect. I'll share what I did.

3.5lbs of boneless chicken thighs
1- 12oz can of chipotle peppers in sauce
1/2 cup of water
2 large oranges juiced
2 limes juiced
3 tablespoons of garlic powder
2 tablespoons of cumin powder
2 tablespoons of annatto powder
1 tablespoon of sicman's Trinidad Scorpion powder

I throw all the marinade ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth. Wash the chicken and throw it in a Tupperware container pour sauce over it and put lid on and shake. I threw it in the reefer for 4 hours. Normally on something like that I let it sit overnight, but tomorrow I'm smoking a Tenderloin.

Thanks again guys. Any ideas for tomorrow's tenderloin?

Sounds tasty!

I'm assuming beef?

LB cooks beef tenderloin whole with bacon and garlic on top. She cuts the meat lightly in a chris cross pattern and she sticks the garlic slices in the cuts. Then she covers it with the bacon and puts Worcestershire  sauce on it, Then cook it until it's med rare. As pink as you like it ;)  She then takes the drippings and adds beef broth, to make the au jus

Oh sorry. No it's pork. I'm wishing I got beef now. Sounds good.

Plants look great and chicken looks better!!
Thanks Jeff. The chicken is good. Sorry theres no plate shots. Didnt have time to sit and have a meal today. On the go working in the yard.
Update. I was just out looking at the plants and noticed that almost all the plants are dropping most their flowers. They are growing new growth. Hopfully the do their thing and start flowering again. I would like them to be a little bigger before they flower. The same thing happened last year with my hab grow. Anyways I was checking out the plants and came across this.

Scorpion. First super pod of the season. WhooHoo

The plants look really good! This little bud looks like it's going to be a beauty. The stinger on this bad boy seems it will get nasty!
