Okay I admit it...

Except for the pizza throwdown this week I haven't been eating meat.

This morning I'm eating roasted brussel sprouts with roasted garlic and jalapeno ranch.

FOR BREAKFAST!

Last night for dinner I ate a bowl of pinto beans and an orange for dinner.

I'm thinking about baking a tomato gratin maybe tomorrow.

Okay I admit it.

I may be turning hippy.

Yesterday I ate plain oatmeal with dried cranberries for breakfast.

My BP this morning was 118/76.

Screw them non believers!

Do post some of that asparagus that I may drool over it please.

Not the entire end.

I still have po'boy to posty up in SOTM.

Tacos and tortillas will mutate a bit.

Less or no cheese. No flour torts, corn only.

Fried foods only once in a blue moon.

Same for burgers.

I'm not done, I just need to improvise adapt and overcome.

I never posted much beef or pork anyway.

Salmon and shrimp, I'm still all in.

Expect more healthy veggie stuff but no weirdness.

And no tofu.

I might could still do whole wheat pizza.

I am evolving.

Y'all keep TDC rolling for me for a while.
 
You post some wheat grass hippy drink on here and I am coming to Tejas to find you and beat you silly! Just sayin'
 
Sounds like creating a new topic in the cooking with fire forum is in order for TB, and others like myself.

The health conscious chef. The dirty hippy cookin thread. Rabbit food for thought... etc.
 
Ain't no shame in healthyin up a bit.
After seeing pictures of my fatass self from the NWCF, I'm afraid something needs to be change.
I've heard the camera adds 10lbs but there weren't 3 cameras on me.
Our biggest hurdle is convinience.
CJ and I work side by side, and when we're rollin, it's hard to come up with healthier type meals.

I'm telling you, something happens when you turn 40... I'm 43.



And TB, I LOOOVE those Brussel sprouts, even without the Ranch. One of my favorite vegetables.
 
Most times it is definitely inconvinient to eat healthy. The trick is finding what you enjoy and cook enough of it to last for days. Then just pop it in the microwave to heat it up.

I been living on my beans and brown rice since Tuesday night. And I'm ok with it :cool:
 
CJ, I have a pic of the tomato gratin I did the other night.

I just have to figure out how and where to post it.

I admit it.

I cheated today.

I was at the hippy joint and they had cotswold cheese and a spanish semi hard goat cheese staring me in the face.

I bought both.

That'll be my treat to myself this week.

I smell like patchouli now.
