One of my favorites--Warning spider picture

Got tons of these around. Have seen some all black but not for a few weeks. Brown widows?

This is a comment from my friend Jake, "Jumping spiders do not make webs they jump on their prey". Primary nutrition consists of small insects accordingly.

I'm not sure if that's true for the entire bunch of them Nova but he's mostly correct. These have actually shown some smarts. They have demonstrated the ability to see prey and remember where it's located if they have to go around objects to get to it.

i love spiders! And just about anything with 8 legs. Just not mites or ticks.
Lol

Back when i was in gradeschool, i used to keep spiders for fighting. Something the japanese and the us filipinos had in common. We would put two spiders on a twig or a stick, doesnt matter what species they were, so long as they can kick each others' butts. The winner gets to have their spider eat the fallen and we usually have bets so that was pretty interesting. We had to look around the school's playground and find spiders or where we live. Some kids even go
out and buy spiders off of other areas just to show them off coz theirs were more exotic. I usually ended up buying or trading for mine.

Just wanted to share.
