Oops...Who leaked that?

keep an eye on the news...some prick dumped a huge load of
chemicals into our local parks creek last night...we got pics & called BCC {local council}...who didnt want our pics or water samples from last night. Then turned up an hour ago (12 hours after incident) & took pictures of dead fish. The turtles, eels ducks all gone
(were gasping for air last night)

Oops - I just leaked it to the courier mail with some pics. How careless of me.

That ain't snow

Ugh. They should be able to analyze samples and track the bastards back by the chemicals they find. At least if, you know, they want to find them.

Good on your for taking the pictures and reporting it. And for leaking the pictures.

Nice work Bent, if the courier mail writes a story about it be sure to link it for us. Whats with the council? I know that they are lazy asshats most of the time but why wouldn't they want your samples and pictures, it's as if they have done it.

Or are cozy with who did.

I'm not even close to considering myself an environmentalist, but that is just NASTY and wrong. I hope it's nothing with a long half-life. Poor wildlife. :(

Thanks everyone. Yeah they will be able to work out who did it from analysis of the water or even the fish.

Ring Sting - I didn't see who did it, it came from a long way upstream (across Ipswich Rd) somewhere.

Anyway I have lots of pics and water samples from last night so if nothing happens Theres plenty more people I can contact.

Someone has to get nailed for this.

Yeah its a huge park down there, maybe 40 acres. My son & all the neighbourhood kids go down there to play...theres swings & stuff. Dog used to enjoy diving in chasing fish too.

Can't tell you how pissed off I am. Man, when fish are trying to jump out of the water somethings really wrong.

Just been down there with the council & EPA who are taking samples. The dead fish have their skin peeling off. Its not pretty.
EPA coming over here later to collect photos & water samples from last night.
Whoever did this is toast.

Any fires being fought upriver? Looks like firefighter's foam, or detergent.

Not anywhere near here.

Like I say the skin is peeling off the fish after less than 24 hours in the water. Whatever it is, its not meant to be touched.

hey Bent...can you follow it upstream to where it was put in the creek?

I followed it back up but it goes through some pipes under some multi-lane main roads and into an industrial estate.

EPA were confident they could track it.
