pass the parcel seed trading

I'm not sure who's currently on and where the list is for rotation or what it entails to get on it, but, I'd love to check out 'The Box' for a day to see if there's anything of interest to me, and I'd happily throw in some Naga Morich, Fatalii, Jamacian Scotch Bonnet, Red Savina hab, Chocolate hab, Carribean hab, Trinidad Congo, and bishops crown. (

I cannot believe this thing hasn't gotten there yet I shipped it on the morning of Valentines Day!! Freakin mail service is worthless. Need to bring back the pony express, now they could deliver on time!!

I agree. I'm a bit disappointed with my Postal service lately. All kind of mix-ups and delays. Whenever I drop things off at the Post Office, it's an ordeal. 50 people waiting in line and 2 clerks just standing there acting like no one's waiting taking their sweet old time. I wish I could ignore "pressure" circumstances at my job and still have one. lol.

I'll see if I can put the seeds in a large envelope or some other method to expedite shipping when it gets here. I'm not making promises because I don't know what or how much is in it yet. I'll do my best. :)

I could participate it someone started a padded envelope pack (resealable or course). I'm using the FPO military mail system and can't receive any kind of boxes or packages. Could throw in Bhut Jolokia (from NMSU), 7 Pot, Naga Morich, Dorset Naga and some local goodies.

Patience Lucky! You are lucky to get it later. It had good variety when I got it early, but I am willing to bet that there are a ton more varieties now!

I was an early one as well Cheezy.... when I sent it to Pam it took about 9 or so days.....

Another day, no parcel....maybe tomorrow. Sorry everyone. Didn't mean to hold the boat up. I'm starting to feel bad about this whole situation. I just wanted to glance in the package, add a few things, and expeditiously ship it forward. Things aren't going as expected.

how much does the package weigh and what are the diimensions?

The post office sucks!! It got returned to my mailbox either today or saturday afternoon with no note, or anything. I know it had enough postage because the lady at the window did the metered postage thing with it. I double checked the addy and am resending it, hopefully it gets there this time. Seriously guys I am sorry that the Iowa postal system sucks!

Nobody wants it to die on there watch! I felt horrible too when I sent it to Pam and it didnt get for what seemed like forever.
The Box is about 3"x8" probably weighs 1lb Im guessing. Maybe we need something a little bigger from the Post Office?

Thats the one I was looking for AJ I was hoping they would show the picture of'em. We can put the seed in a bubble envelope inside the box. Wonder what shipping charges would be?

i would like to get in on this. i have a few packs of seeds i could throw in. let me know when you need my address:)

OK, I not believe the parcel exists as I received it today.

I'll be forwarding it on tomorrow probably to the next person. A few comments I hope are helpful:

- There is no reason to be spending $5 to ship this thing at this point in time. We're not talking about many varieties. I'll be mailing in a large bubble mailer first class. It should arrive faster. Note, I say "should." We all know how dependable the USPS is.

- Fixed all seed labels I thought were illegible. Everything is easy to read now.

- Added variety species to every one.

- Consolidated packets of the same variety into one. I understand why it was split initially. I figured someone who wants the variety can take the time to pull out a small number of seeds for personal use. It makes it less daunting to scan indiviual varieties.

Lastly, below is a snapshot of the contents as of 2/28/08. I'll be adding some varieties not listed yet before dropping it in the mail. Sometimes curiousity kills the cat so I thought the next people in line may appreciate the overview!

If this stuff was not helpful, ignore my rambling. I'm just trying to help as many people on this forum have been great. Ideas like these are great, and I think it could get even better in the future.

You're next Dethwynd (Isaac), right? If not, someone in charge of this, please correct me. Thanks. Isaac forwarded me this mailing address a while back. I'm using that one.

Chris

Postage for this parcel is $1.31 for a 4 oz "large envelope." It does not exceed 3/4" in thickness. Bubble mailer is 11" wide x 8" long.
