I watched my brother do this many years ago. His hair was longer than yours and one day he got the poops with it and got mum to cut it off...

May I ask what led to this hair cutting decision???

I think (could be wrong) that long hair is worth a lot of money to the wig makers? It's worth a try.....

When i cut mine, i donated it to Locks Of Love in Florida. Money isn't everything. :cheers: Because of me, a child will not have to appear to be bald in public.

I have not had my hair long enough to participate in this but I am a big fan and think it is great. What is the minimum length of hair being cut off...6 inches?
 
6in is the minimum length they prefer. they will take all, but prefer 6in as the base. It has to be tied into a ponytail or braid even. Mine was probably 10in long when i sent it in.

Although, i prefer to be bald in public but thats just me.
 
I agree with the others, donating to locks of love would be a good thing to do (its a great cause) but thats your choice.
I'd do it but my hair never gets longer than an inch cuz I shave it again. cant stand long hair anymore (had long hair long ago) or for that matter just dealing with hair.

Looking for a full time job and can't find one. People still have the unfortinutely foolish mentality of "Long haired freaky people need not apply"...so I'm trying a different approach.

Ha! I kinda figured it was employment related. My buddy Thom had to do that same thing. Apparently employers dont like to hire people with super-long hair and goatees. He literally nailed down a job 6 hours after cutting off his hair.
