Awesome Paul!! Those are some harvests . great work my man. Glad you got some production out of those varieties I sent. Hope I can get half of that production myself !! Cheers man
I fel pretty good about this season, despite my screw-ups that cost the
plants about a month, and am now anxious about ripening up all the pods!
All of the varieties you sent have performed very well despite a slow start
for some, but that wasn't the fault of the seed.
I can't imagine what it would be like to live in a climate where they could just grow
in perfect surroundings in a perfect state of bliss!

But...every pod a victory!  I'm sure you will defeat the bugger mites and have a stellar grow.
Would you like some seeds from the cross to play with?

Have a good weekend, friend!

First off my apologies, didn't realize I was 3 pages behind and wow what a tree pages mon! Super wicked photoging, great job, love dem colors, pods, plants, green house, seedlings, woot ... SuperMon!!!

Very cool dat you're growing Shanes goat, was thinking of starting one myself but got caught up with the looks and taste of his brain so I started that one instead, but who knows I may still start mas, lol and I wanted to cut back,

You are never behind here, brother!  But thanks for visiting and the kind words

The Goat is kind of an experiment.  I'm not sure I can keep it in the grow shelf
until March or not.  I'm hoping the one I have in the greenhouse will overwinter.
Last year's almost made it through the winter.

The SB cross is totally cool.  Can't wit to find out if Trip can figure out what the
cross is.

You got you some nice pulls there brother... Glad to see things working out for you as Autumn approaches. Cheers!
Thanks, Rick.  The weather gods are being kind for the moment.  Looks like
we may even have several days of sunny and mid 60 weather!  I'm hoping for
one more good pull at the end of this next little sunny stretch.  I was harvesting
pods last year at this time as well according to my 2012 log.

Paul, you just keep pulling these harvests out of your hat, and it's mid October!

Excellent year!
I'm not sure everyone would say they are coming out of my hat

The season is finishing of pretty well.  Next goal: not to leave a lot of
green pods on the plants!

Totally awesome my friend! Nothing to do with Green Fingers... this has everything to do with magic! Totally incredible!
Hello, Lourens!  Guess you are full into Spring or early summer by now.
You are very kind, my friend, but compared to many of the grows I see
on the forum, mine feels kind of average.  Not that that's that's bad, in fact,
that's pretty good company!

Hope you boys are all having a good weekend!

Here re some pics of the fourth round of drying pods.  Have't taken pix of the others.

Very nice Paul!

Powder you will have.

You have sun, and we have a nice soaking rain, it's a good day!
Indeed, Scott.  Now to work on some blends.

Our nights are pretty cool, mid 30's, so that's the only drawback to the
clear weather.  How about cloudy at night, sunny during the day?  You've
done a pretty good job of arranging the weather so far   ;)
WalkGood said:
Very nice, dat should make you some great powder ... where's da fruit ;)
I will be trying some fruit infused powders for sure.  I'll start with
whatever looks really fresh at the market.  I have to check your
glog for the latest fruit powder!

Now that is an amazing line up of tasty pods.
Thanks, Lourens.  In all honesty, I have to say my grow could fit in one
corner of your grow!  The stuff you produced last year was off the chart,
my friend.  I suppose you are into Spring and early Summer full on by now.
I need to check out your glog.

The sun was out yesterday, and the morning light was great in the greenhouse so I took a few pics.  I have the heater set for 50˚ at night, and the plants seem to have finally adjusted to the new conditions after a few chilly nights (38-39) a couple of weeks ago.  The ornamentals are thriving for the moment.
This is the not Black Pearl (THSC):
_DSC0616a_zpsabdf490e.jpg

The arching branches are very graceful; pod weight really pulls the tips down:
_DSC0618a_zps4b1bdade.jpg

The NuMex Twilight (Siliman) is also forging ahead like it was still summer.  In a way it is; lows about 50 in the greenhouse, and when the sun's out it's hi 70's even 80 during the day with the windows and door wide open.  On cloudy days, the temps can be 5-10 ˚F above ambient during the day:
_DSC0614a_zps22ad77f3.jpg

The colors are striking on this little beauty.  Both the 'Black Pearl' and the NuMex Twilight are 2nd year OW plants:
_DSC0615a_zps41f03d7c.jpg

The Purple Flash is also enjoying the extended season in the greenhouse:
_DSC0610a_zpsa3e41ecd.jpg

The Orange Manzano (stc3248) from harvest 2012 seed.  This one has been cut back to a point where I hope it will develop 6-12 pods with a shot at getting ripe over the winter.  The little pods that just set are growing fast:

_DSC0609a_zps8362f3e7.jpg

I have a few more to post after I go water plants and get a little nudge  : )

Bump!

Very nice!

OK I put an order in for clouds from dusk till dawn...keep your fingers crossed!
Haha I went and did chores and then forgot to upload the other pix!
Thanks for the nudge, Scott!  Still waiting on the warmer nights, but
you can keep those sunny days comin'

Paul, looks like you have the greenhouse temps dialed into perfection looking at dem beautiful ladies all full of color and pod love. Great job mon, hope you hab an awesome week!
Hey, Ramon!  My little 13-dollar space heater from home depot is in it's fourth season and working great.  The make is Patton, made out of metal not plastic and a great product.  We're sunny and mid 60-s to 70 for the next 5 or six days - that will make for an awesome week!  Thanks, bro.

Those are some very pretty shots of those more ornamental varieties. I really like the flower on that purple flash.
The Nikon 12-24 mm wide angle lens makes it possible to get some nice pix in the tight quarters of the greenhouse.  The PF is an interesting plant.  None of the pods have turned red yet.   Hope things are good in Carson City!

Okay, now here are the rest of this group of pics!  The nice days have prompted some great new growth
on the Chocolate Hab Clone:

Lots of activity going on at the branch tips topside, as well

The Choco Hab pods are gaining size:

The Mountain Pepper is seeing a resurgence of growth and pod setting with the warmer temps in the greenhouse.  This is a new branch at the bottom of the plant:

This plant has been loaded with flowers from the beginning:

The pods are developing nicely:

There is life after 2-4-D!  The Wild Brazil is really trying to make a comeback:

All right.  Hope everyone is into a good week.  Thanks for the visit, and keep those peppers growin'!

Looking good Paul!

How do they do in the GH?

Do they stay in there all winter or do you move them inside to OW?

Have a great week!
Thanks, buddy, same to you!

Plants stay in the greenhouse all winter.  Usually go more or less
dormant in the middle of winter.  I hung up a light yesterday to see
if a few more hours of flourescent in the dark winter days will help.
Just two 4' 6500K T-12 tubes.

Great stuff Paul...great pics of EVERTHING, but once again I find myself going back to look at the Mountain Pepper pics!!! What a crazy cool plant.
That is one I really want to grow out.  Hope to get at least one or two
pods for seed.  Would be a great variety to get going.  Thanks for the
visit, my friend.  Hope you are well.

I did manage a harvest of Peruvian White Bullets and Pointed Yellow Habaneros.
Here are the pre-harvest pics; I will get pics of the harvested pods tomorrow.
Both plants are less than 2' tall.

Pointed Yellow Habanero.

Pretty typical branch:
_DSC0620a_zps5943fd32.jpg

I left the green pods to further ripen - maybe half-dozen or so - and
trimmed all the extraneous foliage:
_DSC0621a_zpsf867a007.jpg

The Peruvian White Bullet is really loaded, too; lots of nice sized pods
for a bullet.  I'm trying to let the pods get all the way ripe to white this
season, so only picked about half:
_DSC0622a_zps93bd3fe3.jpg

The remaining pods will ripen for at least 5 more days depending on the weather:
_DSC0623a_zpsb2edf084.jpg

One of the reasons I love the little Peruvian Whites:
_DSC0625a_zps52f151f2.jpg

Okay, that's it for now.  Will post pics of the harvest pods soon.  Thanks for taking a look.

Paul your grow is like the ever ready battery bunny, the plants just keep pumping and pumping out da pods and never stop :D
Fantastic photoging, love these latest pictures, keep up da awesome work mon!
Hab a great day!

Hi Paul,
Your plants in the GH are looking stellar! I don't think I'll buy a purpose-built GH myself, but I'm seriously thinking about building one next year out of PVC pipe and GH film that'll cover the raised bed on the south-facing side of my house. I think I'll use sheet metal screws instead of glueing the parts together... that way I can make it a temporary structure and can re-assemble it at need.

The Wild Brazil in post #695 is looking like it had a miraculous resurrection! I've never seen a pepper plant come back after dying back that much... did you do anything special to help it?
