Is your C. Praetermissum a Cumari Pollux? I can't remember if I saw it earlier in your glog or not.  My memory can't be counted on sometimes.
I ate a couple pods from mine today while giving my plants some water and my mouth was burning for 20 minutes!  I think they have a "sharp" heat.  I have hotter peppers but their heat isn't like the "stinging needles" heat of some of these wilds!  Hope that description makes since.
Too bad there isn't enough time for it to produce.  When does cold weather typically arrive for you?

The flowers on the bottom branches have already
set some pods, so hopefully I will get some ripe ones
before the season is over sometime in October.
The new, tall branches barely had any flower buds.

There are actually two c. praetermissum plants,  a
CAP 1141 And a CGN 22795. Nothing I have read
about them mentioned the name Cumari Pollux.

Interesting season, eh Paul? I still have decent, robust plants with nary a pepper. One, an Arequipa OW that actually survived the aphids hasn't had a blossom, not even a bud, but it is as healthy to look at as any. It was insane with pods just last year...

Your grow looks, as it does every year, amazing...

Thanks, Eric.

Every season has its moments, eh? I guess if
you grow enough plants, at least one should
show up for you!

In the tomato world the Indigo Cherry from
Territorial Seeds in Springfield, Oregon is loaded
with large trellises of fruit.

Supposed to be a c. chacoense var Exile, but
the pods are much longer than any other chacoense
I have grown. Also, from what I have read, the var
Exile should have very long calyx spikes, but these
are not.

Maybe someone out there has had some experience
with this variety?

Plants look great. That indigo cherry looks stunning I may need to grow one next year.
I can’t believe the way it produces clusters
of trellises off one stem. Very high rate of
fruit setting, as well.

Those toms are gorgeous, Paul. How's the flavor?
A bit tart, but very juicy and flavorful.

The color almost makes them taste good  ;)
Been snacking ‘em off the plant this week.

Pity.  I would have thought the Jamaican Yellow Mushroom would feel right at home there since the Jamaican Flag has all the same colors as the Oregon Ducks.

:)
Good one, Mitch! My JA Red Habaneros and
JA Red Mushrooms do well here, so no reason
why the Yellow Mushroom shouldn’t feel
comfortable here as well!

Sorry, I missed this earlier, Ty.

It can arrive as early as beginning of October, but
last several seasons, hasn't arrived until into November.
due to cruddy Springs, we in PNW have had to rely on
the long Fall to get a decent amount of ripe pods, at
least in my own grow.
