So many beautiful pets! I'm a dog person myself, but the cats are cute too ;)

I don't have any pets currently. I lost my 2 year 8 month rattie, Petyr Baelish, in May - his poor little body aged faster than his spirit. He was my little  buddy (my relationship with him was almost exactly like a relationship with a puppy!). I even forced him into photoshoots for holidays (he got treats for playing along)  :lol:

Now I get my pet-fix by volunteering at a local greyhound adoption group and helping with turnout, clean up, and photography.

{Cute rats picture}

^he's cute. I've got a 2 year 4 month hooded rat right now, used to have two but the other died of lung cancer in February. Wish I could get a decent picture here, but her favorite things to do are, in order: Steal food from table. Steal earbuds from ears, eat food/earbuds behind the dishwasher(she found a hole in the counter), run everywhere, and eat cameras. As the last one suggests, getting a good picture of her is difficult. Surprisingly, she doesn't have any health issues yet, and is still just as energetic as two years ago.

Since the wife and mother-in-law weren't really on board with adopting a full grown bully, we've decided to go the puppy route instead.

Meet Duncan.  He will be moving in with us in the next couple of weeks.

And yes, that is him trying to take a bite out of my beard.  Now I understand why the dog rescue named him "Chompy".

JH, is that an APBT or another bully breed?

My Felix passed away not to long ago, and I have been missing having a dog for months now, so I went to the spca a couple times to look around.  Last Monday I saw a
sweet 8 year old chihuahua.  I took her home, and we are getting along very well.  I think she was used to produce puppies, and not taken care of very well.  The spca removed
a mass from her mammalary gland, she was being treated for ear infection, and a special shampoo for her skin.  She is not yappy like a regular chihuahua, and not afraid of
other dogs, even big ones.  This is the first time I have ever been to a shelter to adopt a dog, and I'm very happy I did.  I'll post a picture of her tomorrow.

Duncan has finally arrived...

...and he did not hesitate when it comes to hamming it up for the camera.

But his big sister didn't take too long to start teaching him the ropes.

Something tells me these wrestling matches won't be as one-sided once the little guy grows some more.
