Pete's Pepper Progress - 2009 Season

Well, it has been about three weeks so thought I would take some pictures in the pepper patch today.

I hope you pepper freaks enjoy...

Outstanding growth on the peppers Petey!

You look like you're doing some serious thinking standing behind that Naga. Hope you got it all figured out.;)

Plants looking great Petey! Pods galore. I've got a few here too, but nothing close to ripe yet. I like how your Naga has multiple stakes, I need to figure out how I'm going to support mine as the branches get heavy.

A Lovely Pepper

Just got back from a weeks vacation at the beach so thought that I would update. Antilles Caribbean going full guns...what a delicious hot pepper!

Finally got some summer time weather here in Philly as well!!!

Your plants look like they were busy while you were gone. It must have been a nice surprise to come home to ripe pods. I go out to the garden every evening hoping to find something ripe.

That Antilles Caribbean looks great.

And some Naga Morich Pods:

These things just keep on comin'.

Been a great season so far...beyond expectations. Have about two more months before it will all be over. I'm hoping to get the plants back actively flowering and budding again (some already) so I can have some nice fall harvests.

Earthworm castings have been a real positive revelation to me this year. Well worth the investment and time committment.

You are getting a flat tire Petey or just very low air pressure. Bad tires and brakes cause most accidents. Plants look awesome lot and lots of pods, time for a nice harvest. Good work.

Good eye PRF, but in case you missed it there are some lovely pods in that shot. Just busting you.

Nice work Pete. You certainly have container growing down.

Summer begins to wane....

Every year somewhere toward the end of summer I get this instinctual feeling that summer is coming to a close. I really felt it today...the angle of the sun is noticeably different (and weaker), it is dark by 8PM and we are losing light everyday. Summer is waning and it will only accelerate over the next few weeks until we gently ease into fall. Our friends over in OZ are probably starting to notice just the opposite and are looking forward to a new growing season! Such is the circle of the seasons....

My plants are at the height of their growth and with the way they've been flowering over the past two weeks I should have a nice October harvest. I've already harvested close to 1800 peppers from 10 plants, so life has been good (and :mouthonfire:).

Here are some plant pics that I snapped today...enjoy!
