I love it.  I typically play my Casino or Jazzmaster, but this one just feels nice and the sound is great.

Well I will have to put mine on here. My baby 96 strat customed up with super looking new maple neck, 96 aged white to cream body, with CTS pots and of coarse Fralin Blues specials pick ups and fender locking tuners. Killer tone!!

I use the whole darn fretboard except for maybe 18 -24 on the 4th, 5th and 6th string. Don't need no carpal tunnel syndrome.

Ya know, I am not sure. Looks like it might be. Hard to tell from the video.

Alright guitarists, I have a question. Those of you that are in a band: Where is your position on stage? If you watch any live act, every member has their general spot that they occupy. The few bands I have been in, I always occupied the left stage (audience POV), which would be the right stage from my point of view. Dunno, this is where I always felt like I belonged.

Picks.

For heavier stuff (read: not strumming), I like a nice sharp and thick pick. I've been using Jazz III picks for a while and while they dull after a while they have a very good point when new. The problem is that I have always felt they are a little too small for my hand. Just never felt totally comfortable.

I ordered a few of these last week from V-picks and after p[laying with it for the weekend I have to say they are definitely replacing the Jazz III picks for me. Full size pick the same size as a Fender style pick but they are really sharp and stiff. They have a reputation for being super tough so I don't think I'll be wearing them out any time soon.

They don't strum as well as a more flexible pick so if you do a lot of that, these might not be for you.

Now, if I can just not lose them I will be good to go. One of these costs about the same as a whole pack of Jazz III picks.

Kid I work with wants me to teach them to play guitar, so when I saw this on musiciansfriend.com for $99.00 with free shipping, I snagged it. I've always had good luck with ESP products, even their cheaper models. It will be a good knock around guitar for me and something for her to practice on.

Dont care where the guitarist is as long as the bass player is to my right. Cool about ya teaching the kid. Make it fun for him, songs he wants to learn.

Of course! She is an absolute beginner, so I will start her off with basic chords, scales, picking and fingering techniques and how to read music. From there she can learn what songs she wants to learn.

I can't help but comment on how freakin' heavy this thing is! This is coming from a long time Explorer body style user. It definitely weighs more than my EX-400BD.
