Progress photos and a Strange Naga....

Ya never know mate. It may just suprise you! Fingers crossed any way. And I totally understand you're complaining, especially after the epic battle you had even getting them there in the first place.

thanks mate! And if they turn out killer, I'll be sure to save seeds...even if they are crossed, it can only be with a naga cuz that's all that is surrounding them!

Examine the differences of the caps at the top of each pod type where the stem meets the pod and you'll have your answer. ;)

What you most likely have is a Naga Morich crossed with some unknown C. annuum.
I am ALWAYS learning something from SS ;) That's a good piece of info to know...thx

I got my Naga Morich from CCN as well. I dont have photobucket, but I have some pics here My link

Mine have pods like yours, and also like SS's. Although all were bright green. I've pulled off about 5 ripe ones so far, some small, some as big as my Bhuts. I'll put up some more pics soon, these were taken at the beginning of July.

This what you want to show f_c_b?

Thanks MrArboc, everytime I try to post a picture here I get an error message, so I figured THP only let you post photobucket pics. How did you do that?

I copied the URL for the pic (http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4078/4822128490_e819bc7690_b.jpg) and then clicked on the "Insert image" button. (The one that looks like a Polaroid)

Code:

It should look like this in the edit box.

So I picked my first ripe pod from the plant that actually looks like a real naga and upon inspection, I found what looks like blossom end rot. It's a slightly discolored area that is squishy...is this common for first pods? Lack of calcium seems to be out of the question as there are NO other warning signs...

My plants sometimes will get a very few pods with BER. I wouldn't worry about it yet unless you start getting too many pods with BER. Swings in soil moisture can cause temporary problems with calcium uptake and if you're like me I let them dry out too much sometimes. Your plants are healthy. so whack the bad end off of that pod and much away. :)

It wasnt just the end of the pod SS...there was a big spot in the middle of the pepper too... I'll just wait patiently as the others are about to turn also. Plus I have a ton of Habs, scorps, and more mystery nagas that have popped the flowers off and are growing away!

Here is an updated shot of that mystery pepper...wonder WTF it is?? Any guesses yet?? It sure is gettin ugly!! lol
