You know, it never occured to me to use the oven to tenderize a tough piece of meat like ribs. I'll be tossing them in there this summer while I prep everything else and then finish them on the grill with the rest of the meal.

Oven ribs FTW!!!

Personally I would do the opposite and get a little smoke in 'em first for about an hour then wrap in foil in the oven for 1 1/2-2hrs and then on on grill or oven to dry up a bit and to slather 'em all up for another 1hr

That would be great if I had a smoker.;) I may have to get a new one this summer!

Rubbed with mustard then dry drubbed with smoked paprika, cayenne, sea salt, pepper, garlic powder and cumin. Mopped with a mix of apple juice, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, ketchup and fresh garlic. Cooked on the UDS for 4 1/2 hrs over pure wood charcoal with hickory and apple chunks.

Shoulda flipped 'em to get a bark on both sides...oh well. Still taste good :)

Ribs on a rainy day

Guess what guys....I've got more ribs!

The past 2 days have been nothing but rain and I really wanted some ribs, not that I have a smoker or anything, but I just was in the mood for something different. Thus, I present to you Slow Cooker Ribs with a homemade BBQ sauce.

Boneless ribs? Ketchup?

Brawwahahahahaa..... Where does the insanity stop? :P

Seriously though, the ketchup was only a small part of the BBQ sauce and after cooking I must say that the sauce turned out nice and spicy and yummy. I know, I know, it sounds really bizarre and the first time I heard about this recipe, I almost passed because of the ketchup, but then I tried it and was amazed.
