Ripping it up in a Tiger Moth...

Thought I'd share this....
My brother shouted me a flight in an old WWII Tiger Moth yesterday...one of the most epic things I've done. I suspected it would be and even laid off the piss the night before! haha A Good Move.

Anyway, for anyone on here that's in South East Queensland, or if you happen to be traveling through Qld or coming here from OS, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

It takes off from Pimpama (just Nth of the Gold Coast), heads out to the coastline and down to Surfers Paradise. The day before we flew, we decided to add the aerobatics as well and that just made the trip - loops, barrel rolls, and my favourite, the stalls.

We both went at the same time (two planes), and the all up cost was about $700-ish?? It's dirt cheap in comparison to other 'thrill' stuff (bungee jumping or skydiving etc), and lasted about 35-40mins.
Anyway, here's some pics. They were only taken on a point and shoot, so not brilliant.

The last pic is Sth Straddie...as we were flying over The Spit, I could see surfers on Straddie, and the pilot pointed out two large sharks coming outta the Spit just 50-60m away from the surfers  The two pics I took didn't turn out.....

Anyways, using the point and shoot, I took a heap of video and did a rough editing job. I was gonna put some tunes to it but I can't be arsed. I got some crazy footage during the aerobatics (the stall is when it all goes quiet and you hear what sounds like ghostly voices....)

when I read the title of this thread, I thought someone had gotten drunk and in a fight here...

http://www.pub-explorer.com/kent/pub/tigermothchatham.htm

Used to go there when I was in Enlgand on business years ago...It is named after the airplane that was built right across the street...the company was Marconi and is a BAES subsidiary now (if memory serves me correctly)

great looking shots and I know you had some fun...

Alabama Jack - Ive not been to that pub, but I went to Chatham years back when Newcastle played Gillingham in either a League Cup or FA Cup match?
It's weird.
I was born in Newcastle (UK) lived in Newcastle (Aus - Novacastrian) briefly, and yet another football supporter(SeeYouJimmy) is commenting on the thread?
The planets are aligning.....
