romy6 2014

So I guess it is about damn time I started a grow log! Not a whole lot going on at the ranch  :shh:  but hopefully that will change soon. I grow peppers all year around outdoors. I live on the central east coast of Florida. It has many ups and downs but more ups  :fireball: . Bugs such as mites and aphids are always a problem for me. Over the years I am getting better at diagnosing them at a early stage . This Christmas I was lucky enough to have santa bring me an aerogarden and some how managed to make it's nesting place on my kitchen table. I know this is short lived and I will need to find a safer resting spot for it. Here is a pic of my outdoor operation. Most of these plants are between 8 months or older.

They look very haggard at the present moment. Lack of sunlight and low humidity will do that. But come spring they better bounce back into action.

Here is my little indoor operation. It isn't much but keeps me happy and grows peppers super fast. I planted a 7 pot lava( judy) , borg9( tmudder), yaki blue( nigel via standbyandfire), true cumari ( from judy) , defcon 7 ( tmudder), choc naga x brain ( me,via winchicken, via tmudder), and parsley for the boy :)

First to pop was the 7 pot lava. Few days later the defcon 7. Yaki and borg both popped with helmet heads and I managed to kill them trying to remove. I just added a few more seeds in each pouch .

Hey, Jamie, everything looks great !
You are becoming an aerogardener, for sure!
Nice late winter harvests, as well, my friend!

Always love your work bro.... That aero garden is a handy piece of starting kit that's for certain. I was meant to ask Paul G the same but how do they take the transition to soil?? Take a little while to find their feet??

Very cool to have ya Trip. Loving the Aero. I have had no problems moving the plants from Hydro to soil. I just make sure to keep the soil nice and moist and gradually work them into full sun .

Yeah, that Aero is looking pretty cool. If I had one though it would probably be stuffed with fresh herbs for the kitchen though. making Spaghetti tonight with lots of fresh Basil in it, yum!

Thanks Scooty, mikey , and Billster . You guys are why I keep up my glog.

Still not much happening. Getting warmer though so I exspect my ants to start to explode at any moment.

I can see why you're so busy brother Jamie...  ;)  Wish your boy good luck with his season for me, would you? We're expecting great things from the newbie plants started in the Aerogarden... keep us posted!

Brother J, about time ! Tebow is lookin like thunder! Your overwinters are lookin a bit different then mine, yours , a strange green color- thats weird, mine are brown and snappy soundin'!
Round 3 sproutin in the Hotel,Boats and FJ grow.
But, I have a dilema....I cannot locate my Green Hornet seeds, and they were in "have to grow" list. Mustard Bhuts, Mustard Scorps ,Green Scorps(these sprang out like crank powered monkeys-2 days -4 of 6!), but my G Hornets are MIA! ..and being that Green sauce, is el numero uno on the agenda this year- this not a good thing!
Well , time for me to kill these oysters and get guns up for the upcoming week....and yes, I'm jealous of the aerogarden!
Have a good one!

Mikey the Jerk master . This warm weather may get us some pods sooner than I expected :fireball:

And I found  a small sign of life on my manzano plant. And not a second too soon. Was thinking the Pubes wasn't such a great idea :liar:  . Will see :shh:
