it's been a little while since we've posted any new vids, we've been waiting for our own chiles to ripen.
Here is...a REAL BHUT! and let me be the first to admit, this bhut kicked my bhutt!
I'm trying to edit part 2, but for now let me share this-
during the video around 5:00, I wipe tears out of my eyes with the back of my hand. By the time we come back to do the other little vid, the edge of my eye is burning. I'd been out in the kitch making salsa and other stuff, and while I wore gloves all the time while processing, I didn not wear gloves while washing dishes. Some capsaisin must have got onto my skin because after rubbing the edge of my eye, it burned!
Another interesting thing that happened... while doing the video I commented that my tongue felt like it was on fire. An hour after eating the chile, I was making dinner and popped a piece of hamburger that I was frying up for the spaghetti into my mouth. I had to spit it out! It was like I had eaten a red hot coal! TOTALLY not like me! And while eating our spaghetti dinner, I had to let mine cool down to luke-cold before I could get it down. My mouth felt like I had taken a huge swig of boiling water and burned my tongue.
The worst part was the 3:00am revenge!
Tummy felt great all the while after eating the chile, dinner and the rest of the evening. My gut decided to revolt around 3:00am! Woke me out of a dead sleep, and not in a good way! I spent some time in the loo, never did hurl, although it was very close for a while...and spent the rest of the night curled up in the living room.
I've had a couple chiles hit the tummy hard right after eating them, but never had the full tummy cramps! And by that time... I'm thinking...I know where the chile is at in relationship to the other food in the intestinal tract...do I really want it to come back out now?????
For everyone's twisted amusement~~~
