Seasonal Affective Disorder...

Rookie! I did that for 28 years. A sauna and alcohol cures it.

The venison burger I ate earlier did a nice job, but didn't last.
Maybe tomorrow I'll re-hydrate a bhut and eat the f'er to get the endorphins.

I get the same...but in a different way. Constant day temps above 30deg and 60%+ humidity does my head in. I wish I could go hibernate from Oct - Apr.
Great for chillis and reptiles, rubbish for humans.......

I can take it pretty hot without the humidity but cold weather does suck a$$. That and wind really piss me off.

Yeah, I was born in Newcastle (UK) and dont miss the summer let alone the winter! Grew up in Sydney where we had a climate.

But the constant humidity, little storm activity, crunchy brown grass.....it tests my patience. Need to get outta this dump!!

I was recently advised to try yellow tinted lenses for treating my mild ADD. It has so helped my focus at school and work I have cut back on the caffeine. Two other immediate effects were it helped my night vision, making night driving less scary for me, and the Gray Blahs that have plagued me for years on cloudy days just about evaporated. Goodbye, SAD!

If you do not need glasses, go to the nearest sunglasses store and see if you can get glasses with a yellow tint. They may have them at sporting goods store for gun users, as well. If you wear glasses, as I do, adding a yellow tint is not expensive and well worth my money. I believe it has helped my drawing, too (artist/student).

If you do not like the yellow tint, I knew a lady who wore rose-tinted spectacles on grey days, because they made the sky look blue.

Some people swear by "light boxes".

The sauna treatment doesnt sound bad, either!

Yer Newcastle's exceptionally cold - spring autumn and winter. Midlands is nicer, south is the place to be - especially in the summer.

I've heard that the stuff they brew in jolly old is much better, the stuff they sell here in bottles is flavorless over carbonated alco-soda.
