I started in September 2015
Last seeds have been sown in May
As we have subtropical climate there is no real winter and we can grow all the year around.

Wow. Was just reading up on how to do the permit. All looked good until I got to the part where you need a level 2 access account. I have to go to a local registration authority (LRA) at a USDA service center to validate my level 2 profile just to be able to fill out a permit. Too much work just to buy some seeds that I can more than likely trade for. Shame because I was eyeing some things from Semillas as well as Hippy Seed for next year. You'd think I was trying to buy some radioactive seeds from the moon. Might just place an order and risk it. I know many others do and everything comes out fine. Of course I'll probably be that one out of 100 that gets their seeds confiscated.

The new greenhouse looks like it's going to be awesome. Can't wait to see it finished.
It is a little painful. You can go in with me sometime if you want. Half my grow last year was from SLP, and everything was true and near 100% germination.

Just got a first crop of Giant Jalapeño SLP.

First pods are 3.5 x 9.5 cm and about 40+ g and maybe somewhat larger in mid season
From sowing to first mature pods about 5.5 months
Heat is in the range of 1000-2000 SCU
Pods are crunchy, slightly sweet, will be best for salads any type of salsa and stuffing.

Peter I would certainly say that most followers of the UK chilli forum have bought seed from you and I have had really good germination results ... keep up the good work your new project looks awesome ... sorry to read that those across the pond have to have a permit to receive chilli seed from abroad

I will be following your flog with interest

Here´s the next:

Orange Lunchbox, Capsicum annuum, not heat, Snack Pepper
Developed by Johnny´s Seed

I was sceptical when ordering from Johnny´s because not every highly commercialised new
pepper was good so far.

Besides the basic problem that the red variety came red and orange and the yellow variety came orange,
the orange came true and it´s very very good.

Plants are small compact growing and good, early croppers.
Peppers are 3x7cm thick walled and very very sweet with soft skin.
A must have for stuffing with fresh cheese.

USA:
As far as my customers reported correctly, the first shipment can be done with a copy of the application form. In the last months all shipments went through that had declared content (green CN22 lable) "small lots of seeds, Capsicum species, origin: Spain, declared value and all seed packages with a species lable attached.
I sent some with application form, some with permit and some without permit or application and all went through.

AUSTRALIA:
I got a warning letter not to send prohibited Capsicum species to Australia.
Allowed are only the following according to their list:

Capsicum anomalum
Capsicum baccatum
Capsicum galapagense
Capsicum galapagoense
Capsicum microcarpum
Capsicum pendulum
Capsicum praetermissum
Capsicum pubescens
Capsicum tovarii
Capsicum umbilicatum
It seems every country is cracking down on capsicum species seed importation ... I wonder if it is because someone has decided there is major money to be made in this circle ...

Yesterday evening:

Capsicum annuum cv. Pimiento Verato, CAP accession 1662

One of the famous peppers used to produce the Pimenton de la Vera (Estremadura, Spain), a dark red smoked powder.

Plants are compact with good fruit setting - peppers are long (18cm) and irregulary shaped and have no heat.

All peppers of the la Vera type (4) have red placental tissue, so the powder stays dark red even when milled with plancta.
The smoke dried peppers are deseeded with a machine before milling.

Are you the one I got my TFM from?

Don´t know,

Came up last season and is claimed to be the official true Sc. Bonnet of CARDI !!??

I grow the red and yellow type this year first time and so far cannot say anything. Plants are flowering, sown in November 2014
