Pimenta da Neyde x Bhut F2... I wasn't counting on purple being so dominant here, will have to pick a few from these to grow out:

Here are some of my 2013 treasures.

I was able to start four C. galapagoenses (they didn't all come up on the same date):

Thanks Portuge, I focused on one C. galapagoense and it's given me plenty of seed already this season, so it's just off to the side.  I have a few pods on it I pollinated with some other plants... not too optimistic the seed will be viable, but may as well give it a shot.

Seed (enough to last a little while):

Looking good Charles. I picked up some silk baggies with drawstrings for isolating and planning out some interspecific creations. My gala has pods, just waiting on them to ripen up. How are the fruts doing?

... of course I'm pollinating this with all kinds of crazy stuff too :hell:

How's the Chiltepin Amarillo doing? My 2 are 3 foot + now and podded and flowered up.

Mine are doing great.  In comparison to the other chiltepins, it's really doing well in the shade.  The fruit are so long and pointy, hard to believe it's a chiltepin

Man all those pods are making me jealous. Think I'm going to start my seeds real early next season for a similar outcome! When did you start yours, mid January?

Yeah, check out my first pics... a multiseasonal endeavor indeed...

 Look at those Crosses you got growing over there... Mad scientist for sure when it comes to pollinating your pepper flowers... Galap is looking sweet man, those seeds look very healthy and viable but what about the seeds you were germinating from the same plant right? how are those doing?

You know, I had two little plants, slugs kept getting them, so they're on the backburner, alive, but I probably won't bother with keeping them up.  Do you want to give it a go?  Let me know and I'll send some seed your way.

Yellow 7 Pot, two different pods on two different plants grown, in turn, from two different parent plants I grew last year:

Chiltepin Amarillo (Delaware version):

Rocoto (of course, this pod was pollinated with different Rocoto variety):

Some pods on my Pimenta da Neyde x Bhut F2:

Choco Bhut x Douglah F1 pod variation:

Score on the galap!!!!

Let me know if you need any seed, I'm kind of burnt out on the galap at this point

My 7 Pot Barrackpore x Sonoran Chiltepin F1 pod pollinated with 7 Pot Brain Strain pollen is ripening, soon we'll see if there's any seed inside:

TS Morouga Blend

Pimenta Morango about to flower:

Another pod on the Delaware Chiltepin Amarillo:

Last year I grew a Cumari Pollux (C. praetermissum) that had round instead of oval shaped fruit, here's an offspring... potentially round so far:

Charles, Very neat looking Bhut x Neyde.  The Morango node is amazing too.  That Delaware Chil. Amarillo is surely different than the others you and I are growing.  Mine definately do not like the hot sun.  Drastic difference between shaded plants and not.  I do not have any pods yet.

Very cool stuff!

Looking great. Love the choc bhut x douglah and bhut x pimenta de neyde pods look great. You have some great varieties going there ... Keep on growing

The ones from the pods I sent you are long and pointy? That would be crazy....only plants around them last season were super hots. Mine are growing exactly like the pods I sent.

That is absolutely crazy! I'll go snap a picture of mine tomorrow. And I did send you the pods right, not just seeds?

Another fan here of the Bhut x PdN.  The pod looks brown in the photo.  If it truly is brown, is that the ripe color or has it been brown from the time it formed?

Here are what my chiltepin amarillos look like this season, same as previous 5+. If you got a cross from the dried pods I sent, I would not be shocked since you are Mr. Cross! They grew directly by and were surrounded by Naga Morich and Bhuts.

It's just what color it turns when exposed to the sun... I can send you some F3 seed when they're ready.

I see, mine definitely look different, but not exactly what I'd expect from a Bhut/Naga type cross... if they grow yellow/orange they might just be a natural variation.  We'll find out before too long.

Wow that's a pretty plant.

Thank you sir... looking for people to grow out my F3, so let me know how your 2014 list looks.

Now for a brief update.

I received seed marked C. parvifolium, so far it looks kind of like a white-flowered variation of C. praetermissum.

"C. parvifolium" flower:

C. parvifolium fruits developing:

C. praetermissum flowers and developing fruits for comparison:

A little runt pepper (one of the first flowers to pollinate) on my TS Morouga x unknown cross is putting on some color, I wonder if it will stop here or continue on to red:

I can't manage to get galaps to sprout!! I would definitely like to try to set up a trade for parvifolium when you have seeds?

I've got plenty.  I can send you some dried pods.  Send me a PM.

I'm late for a meeting...but can't stop looking at all this awesomness!!!

Haha, thanks.

Update time.

This year I'm growing a different Yellow Bhut phenotype from what I grew last year.  This one is smaller and shaped more like a Dorset Naga than a Bhut:

7 Pot Brain Strain:

7 Pot Yellow, getting big:

This is a kind of Bhut that stays very pale until it ripens:

Pimenta da Neyde x Bhut F2:

Here's a pod on a different Chiltepin Amarillo Delaware plant, maybe more standard looking:

Chiltepin Tarahumara:

Two different C. galapagoense pods pollinated with non-galapa pollen, they're both looking perfectly healthy:

It's cool seeing the offspring of the yellow bhut I grew last year. They are pretty close to the kinds of pods I got.
Right now, I'm between places so I have almost zero light. However, I do have one aji limon pepper growing under a couple CFLs on my dresser and it's given me a lot of pods so far.

I'm moving soon to a place with a patio so I should have a ton of strains going next year outside along with maybe some winter plants. We'll see. Thanks for the update, Spicegeist.
