STAR TREK RULED!!!!!

Being a long time fan and a fan of " The Great Bird of the Galaxy" Gene Rodenberry and the fact they blew Vulcan away and rewrote Federation history I give it a D.And Pike did not get hurt on the Enterprise( see The Cage )or a Romulan ship. I will say the best on the show was the fellow who played Bones. Even sounded a little like DeForest Kelly. If this was a whole new show with no history I may have thought differently. I also directed similar comments toward the new BSG and its doom and gloom outlook.

$3?!?!??? Are you kidding me? Whats so bad about that price?

When I moved here 10 years ago ticket prices were $1. Anything that triples in price in a decade is something to be concerned about.

Moyboy and LordViykor, you guys are just a lot wealthier than I am or simply INSANE!

My only regret is that they didn't cast William Shatner in a supporting role like they did with Leonard Nimoy.

Thats true. If i lived in a country where most people only make like 40 cents a month i'd be kind of pissed off too:lol:

I don't feel so bad now. LOL

I saw it last Sunday at the Drive-In. All I keep thinking of is all the paradoxes it created. There were a ton if WTF's through this, including the above mentioned destruction of Vulcan.

As a stand alone movie, yes it was awsome. Great graphics, good actors, etc.
As from a ST point of view... it left too many questions.

It's basically created a new timeline. Questions answered.

Exactly. That pretty much explains the liberties taken with the existing Star Trek universe.

Still, I can understand why some may not like all the changes... but I dug the hell out of it.
