food STEAK!!

I was about to go all kinds of ballistic on how awesome Scovies LB turned out and then I realized Joyner jumped in there with his own awesomeness. Scovie, get it posted. You have many likes pending.

SD - come on, man ... that's my favorite cut and am curious as hell ...

PIC 1 - there was a post of yours that I cannot find that was awesome (about meat in Chi) ... I didn't ever get to reply, but thanks for taking the time ...

Cheers!

This was fantastic. I was pretty not sober, so I totally spaced on posting plated pics. My Bad!!!
We had put this marinade together Saturday, then the TD came up and Sunday it snowed so we grilled it up Monday.
It was not overly marinated as I thought it might be. Fork tender and awesome.
I got the grill as hot as it could go and got the internal temp to 160º (I think) lol

"Best Steak Marinade in Existence"

1/3 Cup Oper-Asian CJ (super hot Asian sauce)
1/2 Cup Olive Oil
1/3 Cup Lemon Juice
1/4 Cup Worchestchershire Sauce
2 Cloves Garlic (pressed)
3 Tbs dried Basil
1-1/2 Tbs Parsley flakes
1 Tbs Ground Black Pepper
1 tsp Cayenne powder

For the sauce...
After marinating for two+ days, took the steak out of the vacuum bag and dumped the marinade into a sauce pan and reduced for about awhile (my sense of time is shot to hell) by about half, 20 minutes? Brought it up to a boil then simmered. While simmering we added some minced Red Onion, and 3 Tbs homemade cream of Mushroom Soup, Red wine, and 2 Tbs beef "Better than Broth".

Highly Recommended!

I just wish I could get those perfect grill marks that Scovie got. I was having some trouble with my heat levels

I'm sayin, I have a hell of a time creating PERFECT grill marks using a charcoal grill. I can do it on gas, but have yet to do it on charcoal. I can get SOME grill marks, but nothing like SD's.

Untill I see someone do it, I don't think it can be done like it can on a gas grill .

Cast iron grates brother! What do you have those chrome things? Forget them.

They're toxic anyway.
