food STEAK!!

So I decided to treat myself a little today. Paired the below with a twice baked potater and some sautéed shrooms. No pics of the sides, just the beef.

Got the Weber Kettle nice and hot and seared the thing.

It's cold and rainy here, so not grilling tonight, but have boneless ribeye in the broiler as we speak....


Dang shame is it got overcooked (for my preference), but it was tasty nonetheless:
Mine on the left with sea salt, douglah and ancho powders, garlic powder, coriander, and tarragon leaves. 
My son's on the right has sea salt, garlic powder, teriyaki sauce, and whatever else he put on it, including the dreaded BP....

That is a ribeye.  It is much bigger than those pictures make it look.  It was 20oz and over 2in wide.
 
Heh, FD - slap the kids' steaks on the grill, let 'em cook a while, then finally slap yours on. That's the way to do it RARE!

I thought the THP rule was that ovens are only for bread, cookies and pimped cheap a$$ pizzas.

I ate too fast to get cut pics. I have a steak left over though. I cooked them all medium. I've read that it's perfectly safe for pork. I like a medium pork steak. Holds more juiciness
