What did you do to the recipe?

More queso fresco in the meat, more char on the corn, more cilantro in the salsa, more cumin, and covered the burgers grilled Anaheim peppers instead of jalapeños. Smoked everything with cherry wood.

do you eat a lot of turkey burgers ?
 
I want to like turkey burgers, but i guess i have never had a good one.

Yeah. My wife doesn't eat beef, so beef is more of a treat.

I think turkey is more versitile than most meats because it takes on more flavors. You can customize it in a way.

You CAN customize beef. Only beef has certain underlying flavors that aren't as easy to get past. Turkey is bland so it tastes like what you customize it to be.

Now you know how I feel about cauliflower. I get what you are saying. Turkey is a neutral flavor for you and beef is not.

Yeah different people taste things different turkey is very distinct to me to the point I don't like it too much always preferred chicken better, turkey being a bit funkier/gamier tasting, rather have BBQ chicken or cornish hen even on Thanksgiving.

I cannot stand turkey by itself unless its in Thanksgiving Day type form.  Ground turkey has to be cooked with lots of flavors for me.

Yeah! Mainly that slightly metallic taste beef has. Chelsea hates it...I love it.
