Nice looking pods! When during the growing process do the FM jalapeños start corking? None of mine are showing signs of corking yet.

The front left pod has no corking, the front right is starting to cork. Some in the back are fully corked. The 2 pods in the front are probably just under 3".

MOA looking good.

Summer us here...the peppers should have a good week.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Snapped a few pictures tonight. So here is a quick update on some of the plants.

Mystery Wine starting to color up. Once I have enough I will make some peach jam with them.

Mystery Citrus. Grant what color are we aiming for?

Tomato hornworm being dealt with.

First time growing tomatoes in containers. It is not easy keeping them upright. Right mow I have them tethered to my fence.

A tomato with a little bit of spunk.

I am starting to drop some flowers due to the 90f heat we had the last few days.

Nice looking pods.   Your tomatoes look great for such small containers.  I never had much luck in containers with anything except cherry tomatos and those usually were much lower producing.   That goat x butch t sure looks good.
The cross is a D3 creation. The pots are 15 gallon and the hardest part was getting the watering right. I think I have it pretty good right now and have not had any BER yet.

Very nice Terry! Pods just everywhere!

I too can't get peppers or maters to do well in pots, so call me "dirt boy". I guess I just do what works for me ;)

Really liking the demise of the hornworm. I say print a few copies and hang them up as a warning to the newbies

I hope your peach crop is better than ours this year Terry... ours got completely wiped out on Valentine's Day weekend.

Very cool that you have predatory Wasps hunting your Nightshades. If you need a quicker and more widespread solution... Baccillus Thuringiensis (Bt) is a soil-dwelling bacteria that you can spray on your Nightshades with no ill effects to friendly insects, pets, kids, etc. make sure to completely drench the tops and undersides of leaves and stems. The Hornworms will stop eating almost immediately, turn black and fall off in a day or two. Brand names to look for are Dipel or Thuricide.

Cool Tomato porn. Ya just can't leave them alone, can you? ;)

I was too, until last year.  I had this problem.

The fungus Phytophthora was identified in the roots and crown tissue of these plants. Remove unthrifty plant
material. Continue to eliminate diseased plants and plant debris as they appear. General sanitation is especially
important for Phytophthora control. Be sure to rotate curcubits or tomato, pepper, or eggplant out of this area for
at least three years. Phytophthora is a water-mold that requires excellent drainage and prudent water
management to control. The disease is more severe in low or poorly drained areas after heavy rains, but may
soon spread to all of the susceptible plants. Avoid excess irrigation, prolonged soil moisture, wet foliage, and
splashing. Plant on a ridged or raised, dome-shaped bed. This will improve drainage and minimize the conditions
that favor the fungus. Use disease-free seed. The following are labeled products for water-mold control:
cyazofamid, dimethomorph, etridiazole, fosetyl-Al, famoxadone plus cymoxanil, fluoicolide, mandipropamid,
metalaxyl, mefenoxam, mancozeb, or propamocarb. Be sure to follow all manufacturers' label restrictions and
instructions. It may be prudent to apply the materials at transplant next season and repeat as per label specified
intervals.

Luckily last year I had my containers and only lost about 25% of the plants in that part of the garden.  This year I threw a few extra pepper plants in there and have lost 2 so far.   Next year it will primarily be utilized for garlic, onions and carrots.

Peach Jam, yum. Pod's looking amazing Terry. Glad to see the Hornworm biting off more than he chew.
Speaking of horn worm. Stumbled upon this earlier. To each his own. http://www.greatlakespermaculture.org/?p=260

Last years batch was pretty good.  I hope to replicate it.

Thanks for the tip Rick.  I have not noticed any others yet.  If it becomes an issue I will give that a try.

Real hot weather for the next 5 days that will probably slow down some pod setting.  I have been picking small amounts of peppers so far but the big harvests should be right around the corner.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Here are some orange varieties that I am growing.
