I think I need help. Due to all the good growing info here from my friends at THP, I have way too many peppers.

Just looking at all the ripe pods is making me sweat.

I will probably get a few more pictures and updates over the weekend. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

You've done extremely well this season Terry! Do you have a lot of heat-seekers in your family? Christmas is only 4 months away...

I find that for compact storage I bottle up hot sauce or dry and powder most of my harvest and store it in the freezer. If there's a single variety I want to keep separate, like my MoA Bonnets, I make a puree and can it in 4 oz jars.

You're reminding me I need to buy a couple of cases of 6 oz woozies for saucemaking myself... ;) Cheers!

Mine was really slow to take off, when I planted out it was just one little long branch. I questioned if maybe it was just a weed. It's branched out a bunch and probably 2' tall now and starting to get pods on it. Not even close to anything ripe though.

I love the way that center pod looks. This is my first year growing a BBG7, am I picking them too early? Should they all look like the center pod?

Rick I do pretty much the same as you. Hot sauce, jam, puree, oil and some powder. I either freeze of dehydrate everything until I have time to process them.
as long as you pick them before they are getting soft no worries, I like the thick walls on the serrano cross it lets them get really red without getting soft. Everything looks great my friend.

Cheers
