While Mrs. Jay T went out shopping, I decided to stay home today, cook a bunch of man food, drink some beers, post some stuff here, and watch football. I made some quesadillas with homemade pico de gallo earlier, then some oven ribs, and wings two ways. The wings are recreations of two of my favorite restaurant wings I have ever had. Some place in Kutztown that we go to after the chile festival at Bower's Ghost wings , and Homicide wings from Wings To Go in Rehoboth, DE. My Homicide wings are a variation on theirs with a bunch of other sauces added, but Homicide sauce as the main ingredient. The Kutztown wings are the best recreation I can come up with with a Ghost wing sauce and what I am almost sure is Mae Ploy sauce. Either way, I fried them at 360F in peanut/canola oil, then sauced them, baked them for a bit in a 300F oven, broiled, and re-sauced. The ribs are just those cheap already cooked and sauced ribs from the grocery store. I added some rub to them and threw them in the 300F oven too. I don't have time to spend all day bbq-ing I need time to drink beer and watch football. Cheers.
