food The Drunken Chef

You had at me at fire, beer and chilli. Like the boss said, kinda lost me a bit with El Cheaponasty tinned 'maters :( But keen to see where you're going with it. Basmati rice in the background...hmmm...?

the Rice has nothing to do with anything, although if I get even drunker then it may enter the ring.

Stop teasing me about the tinned tomatos, here in australia we have floods and fires pretty much all year round and can't grow anything. It's horrific.

Frenzix, I wanna see where this is going! Keep it up. I love dutch oven cooking. And I ain't got no problem with the canned 'maters when you add that much complexity to the flavor profile. In that case, I wouldn't know the difference... or would... and then probably prefer the one prepared with the canned. :P

I wish I could find hunks of lamb that big here in Miami. Gonna have to do some research.

Cheers, I'm not sure where it's going .. but have an idea.. sort of an aussie campfire/italian/mexican fusion with a hint of Whalagdasan cuisine - a small nation in the Fakake Ocean.

No Basmati...Gonna have to re-think (re- )

You're guess is as good as mine little buddy.. Let me say though that avocado has entered the stage.

In the mean time I whipped up a couple of green coconuts with some sugar, lime, midori and bacardi - both my own moonshine. If you don't have access to green coconuts for drinking then you are missing out... .

I KNOW about the green coconut. Those things look great! But I've never been able to make a coconut look that good. I'm thinking band saw?

We usually split and rip with a machete.

OK here goes..Lamb Roast ready .. nothing pink sorry blood lovers.

I agree... weird combo of flavors, but I can see how it would be fun all mixed together. Slow-cooked comfort food with a mix of fresh... lamb and sour cream... and the avocado... nuts!

That's some true drunkin' cheffin'!

I normally cook really textbook recipes and follow them to the T (unless they are shiat and need help) But on my drunkend fire cooking nights, anything can happen and almost definately does.
Don't get me started on my stoned nights .. . that is just plain freaky. Can anybody think weetbix and custard?!

Yes...yes I can.

Toasted crumbled weetbix base with butter, nutmeg and vanilla. Set cold egg custard center with a whipped cream and cinnamon top with shaved dark choc. Maybe a bit of sugar work for foo foo. Think of a cheesecake hybrid type of thang.

Followed by a  or a :high: or 6
