food The Drunken Chef

I am diggin' the smear so much that I really didn't pay much attention after that. I remotely recall some rolled oats, which I am overlooking since there is no apple crisp in sight, and an unopened can of Busch beer.

mmmm...steelhead cakes...looks good to me! The oatmeal instead of crumbs is an interesting twist. I might have to try that sometime. I like the tartar too!

:winning:

I loathe oatmeal but force myself to eat it for the cholesterol lowering properties. I used to use breadcrumbs but now use the oats. They don't have any flavor themselves so no worries about anythang tasting "oaty".

These days i'm all the healthy food snob and have since abandoned my former burger, fries, butter, cream, steak, bacon, and deep fried ways.

I still sin sometimes like a while back I had a jones for some mac & cheese. I ate it with some trepidation and guilt but what the hell, do I really wanna' live forever?

Dude take a quick oven shot and posty up.

Dang RM, that looks suspiciously like a Christmas tree roman candle.
Quick with the camera! We have yet to light our off, as it is outside buried in 2 feet of snow. lol

Daaaaaeeeeuuuummmm! Bossman with the serious JayT ribbing. Good one

Where's the jar of canned Pears, photoshopped to be TB's Kombucha Mushroom?

TB - I'm total gonna make some of that sauce - dang that sounds great. The cakes looked spectacular too.

My boss makes a tartar with just mayo, onion, and those pickles. Its on the runny side for tartar. He uses the same tartar for his dressing for potato salad. I thought it'd blow but it tastes pretty dang good for what it is. Adding the chile's and garlic and it goes from just pretty good to pretty f'n good. Kina' lot like that 5 dollah shake in Pulp Fiction.

mrs. blues is out of town this week on 'bidness. First she went to the big dry ditch aka Las Vegas for 3 days and then on to Hawaii and gets home on monday. Sucks to be me.

But not all the time.

Teh local Try-N-Save had some Texas Gulf shrimps on sale so I grabbed 'em. Dude I work for had this hot sauce on his shelf. Looks cheap. It is cheap. .79 cents cheap. Tastes like a liquored up whore on Saturday night. I dig to be digging it.

Peeled the shrimps and added a big tablespoon of minced garlic, then I took about half the bottle of hot sauce and tossed it at the shrimp. Miggs Style.

Can't have no shrimp tacos without some baja sauce. 1/4 C each of sour cream and mayo, zest of one lime, juice of two. Rocking!
