The General Taco thread. All things taco.

So, I've been wandering around the site trying to find a general taco thread. I'm sure it exists but the only thing I ran across was taco tuesdays and tex mex. I have tacos whenever I can. To hell with Tuesdays! So this is a thread to post your badass tacos. Recipe or not. Just put up a pic. All tacos welcome.

My dinner
slow cooked, dry rubbed, and smoked pork shoulder shredded and built with some of Salsa Lady's Chipotle BBQ!

Some carne asada with my latest batch of verde sauce. Jalapeno, serrano, tomatillo, red onion, apples, roasted garlic, hogsweed, orange wild brazil, a few caribbean red habs, lime, acv, smoked kosher salt, onion and garlic. It's a sneaker. Don't taste the heat at first then it starts to build on the lips and tongue.

That's their gringo style (lettuce and cheese) . Typical is just onions and cilantro but I asked for gringo add onion. Best Al Pastor around though.

it's taken me quite a few years of eating fancy lettuce to realize that nothing beats iceberg. Especially in a wrap or salad. Just keeps that nice cold crispness much better than spinach or any of those weeds they put in salad blends.

Iceberg is great. Love a good wedge salad or just broken leaves on a sammie....
 
Romaine I hate except in caesar salad. It's got lots of white/bitter/watery leaves... the hearts are the worst, the outer leaves are better, go figure... (people seem to love the hearts).
 
I like butter lettuce, it is crisp yet tender somehow, and flavorful... just bought some for french bread pizza/salad night, will post in another thread
