Anything that needs to be "cooked twice" like carnitas or stuffed pastry are walking in the gray area. Technically, both could still be performed in a Dutch Oven, but there's enough room for hoodwinking and bamboozling. <-- I'll need to consult with SoFlo Posse members about this gray area.

[ex] We will not see Dutch Oven ribs finished off on the grill, nor the smoker, nor the skillet.

Final ruling!

A Dutch Oven is ruled as any bake-ware that can be covered.[Edit: tin-foil does NOT count as a cover.] (CI is preferred, cooking with coals is a plus.) Let's see a pic of the process.

Anything cooked shall be performed in a dutch oven... if you are "cooking twice", that too shall be performed in a DO. If you need to flip the Dutch Oven's lid over to make a "skillet" to finish the piece... that works. Again, let's see a pic of the action. (Stuffed pastry fits in this category. All of it MUST be done in the DO.)

Within the above parameters, anything goes.

Wheebz informed me last night that I have no chance with the entry I have planned. My take on that is you guys better watch out because he obviously has NO IDEA what wins! (zero crowns) :clap:
 
What are the rules for making and posting? Will there be more specifics added? I think I might have to cook mine on Thursday night.... is that allowed? I'll be out of town over the weekend. :( I'll have internet and I'll be able to post and whatnot, but I won't have a kitchen!
 
Throwdowns begin on Friday when the boss busts out his megaphone and shouts, "GO!!!".

You'll have until Sunday night. You can't really do anything on Thursday because you won't know the 'proof of life'.

Better bring the dutch with you on your travels!!
 
Awwww man. I guess I'll have to get my shit together in advance and start cooking as soon as I get home Sunday!
