All of that stuff was still no-real-kitchen hacky when I have the real one I'm gonna PIC 1 all up in this piece.

Dag, yo. I was about to reply to this post all indignant like. "What?! People with shitty, afterthought, no-counter-space, dishwasher and garbage disposal free kitchens with carpentry so flimsy my CI collection broke the cabinet floor are HACKS?!" Then I read what else you posted about your "kitchen" (the corner of your dorm room with the mimi fridge, behind the bean bag chair). I feel your pain.
No stove? Damn. At least put a hot plate on top of your car, Ricky.

I have been in quite a few NYC apartments (and a few Boston ones, for that matter!) where people don't have a kitchen. Mini fridge and toaster oven is it.

My old kitchen was a real trainwreck. It looked like it had been stolen from a rundown mobile home and inserted into my place.

Living the high life right now, gang. Too bad renting a house in this area basically starts at 6000 dollars a month. Ouch, Bay Area!

Congrats!

I like having a yard, a rarity. I can que and grill and chill, and the kitchen will come soon anyway. :)

Then I can properly prep for grillin. That sucks too!

Yeah, a yard is nice! We had a yard in Boston, but we shared it with the other people in our building. That made us want to use it a lot less because some of the other neighbors were basically always outside.

I'm pretty sure JayT just cancelled his Viagra prescription - now that he has this photo, he doesn't need it any more.

I hate you both.

Finally got a new kitchen. No more apartment ghetto for me.
Ready to tear it up in the Bread Bowl.
Whatup from San Francisco.
I thought you lived in Boston. Now you can no-show from both coasts for the throwdowns!

I own a fridge. No kitchen or stove since 2008. But will be changing shortly.
AND YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO BUST MY BALLS ABOUT THE BGE??? For shame...

Hahaha - I just got back to this thread. Dan, you musta been drunk - you mentioned my post in 3 separate posts like it was new every time! LOL

Yeah, I've done enough long-term business travel to know it truly sucks to only have a fridge for an extended period of time. At least you have good eat-out options all around you. I still consider being stuck in the middle of Nowhere, GA for 6 months to be an all-time low as an independent. McD's was their "classiest" restaurant and the only thing open by the time I could kick off work each day. I kept the hotel room fridge stocked with salad stuff, but even that gets old after a while. So I feel your pain. Definitely post pics when the kitchen's ready!
