Lobster?... Lamb cutlets?... Your kid's already eating better than me!
The lobsters were a bit of a celebration dinner, and a one off. For about a week a year, in season, the market by my house brings in new shell lobsters daily. They are super cheap and delicious. I only paid $9 per lobster, so a lobster dinner for two people, under $20, is a once a year type thing around here.

The lamb, well, we love lamb, and I actually buy whole butchered lambs by the box. Only about $100-$110 for a full butchered, pastured lamb.

Thread is making me hungry!!
Congrats on the coming addition!
When my wife was pregnant for my son she craved hot or spicy food. My son can't stand anything remotely hot or spicy.
When my wife was pregnant for my daughter she would get nauseated from hot or spicy food. My daughter likes things hotter than I do !
Go figure...

Thanks! We are stoked for the new addition to the family. So far my wife hasn't had any big aversions/cravings for any foods, but I know that's bound to start up sometime soon.

I whipped up a giant tray of lasagna for dinner. 50/50 ground lamb and ground beef, with a rocoto marinara. It smelled so good when I took it out of the oven that I cut a few huge pieces and ate them before I got a plating pick. We'll be eatng on this tray of lasagna for many days to come
