But they're so damn GOOD.....especially the Jalapeno cheeseburgers!
On another note, you know it's true: sometimes it's the simple things that are still just amazingly good. Sliced one of the cayennes in half, seeded it, spread cream cheese on it, gave it a generous sprinkling of coriander, then ran it under the broiler just long enough for the cream cheese to brown. Ten inches of heaven x 2! (And yes, I was quite selfish and ate the whole thing myself...)
What's left of my "gang" at home doesn't yet appreciate some of the finer things. The heck with the throwdown, the ostrich was amazing (yeah, I know, you'll just have to take my word for it for now.) My son took his requisite one bite, admitted it was delicious, but refused to eat any more, simply on the grounds that it was ostrich. Fine - more for me! Sometimes the gang just needs to eat leftovers and frozen pizzas without us.Good for you! 10 inches all for yourself! Not long ago, I made a heavenly plate of microwave nachos for myself with some Heartbreaking Dawn's hot sauce and gave the rest of the gang leftover chicken (or something).
Eating cream cheese on a pepper with a touch of a favorite seasoning is like watching a sunset - not something for every day, and not "exciting", but it's a good thing for just chillin' from time to time.I'm sorry. Cream cheese is good but it has no place in anythang I do especially chile's or poppers! It's too commercial and boring. I want more flavor. Gimme' aged cheddar, jarlsberg or goat cheese every time. NOTE: I am not in my right mind as I have fishing on the brain right now. Trying to plan a road trip!
Yes and no. He's got a year left of college, so mostly just lives here when he's not at school or working, but then there are those moments. We made a run to the local grocer's tonight, and found some pomegranate popsicles. Hung out eating them, engaging in a discussion about the flavor and comparing them to Izzy pomegranate soda. (Izzy won both our votes.) Yet although we both enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, and frequently collaborate there, he's completely disengaged from the throwdown, which surprised me.is the son beyond the age of "engaging them in the activity"? Like the kid(s) eating hot chiles with mom, or kicking the soccer ball with dad, or shooting canned potato salad with Paulky...?
There's hope left for your son!But he would definitely go for shooting canned potatoe salad with Paulky!
At least you acknowledge the inferiority of your entry on this one, putting JayT first - still no crown for you!JayT and I are going to be first and second,
