I've always had success with French and Belgian joints, steak frite basically... back in the day like $17, nowadays, $24-28 I would say, and get a killer steak au poivre and fries... the old man steakhouses, not my thing and not as good for my tastes... the handcut shoestring fries in some meat juice and au poivre and a seared steak???? Beer in a chalice??? Under $30?????? BOOM!
